My Fanboy Anti-Rage Post

Do you understand what the Support-Bundles are? Yes their focus is to support The Dev's with money. The Stuff you get for it is kinda more a "Thank you" and the supporters i know (i know somebody who hase spent over 1000 Euro) said that they would have even given them the Money for no items and stuff, because they simply want to support.

And about League of Legends: Just count all the skins, multiply them with 10 dollar and then just look what a big amount of money is there to pay. And LoL is carried by Whales too, because the majority of Players (not the fully for-free-faction) do not buy just one skin, they buy at least 5 or 10 of them, many even way more so the only difference is, that you there have your 1k bucks splitted in 100 skins, here it is a handfull of supporter packs. And if you do not want to support the Devs, don't buy them. Does it harm you in any ways if others buy the packs?

I feel it's this age of instant gratification we live in that's fucking up people views on right and wrong and how to act in conjunction with others .

latley iv been playing The Division alot , broken patches come out offten and the company can't seem to fix game breaking bugs week's , even mounths after they wher put into the game. But the mentality of the players is just off the charts , insane rage , death threats , you name it .

But also people complaints about the core game mechanics is what really astonishes me . The game is desined around loot farming in a open PvP area , this is a ton of fun as it offten creats moments of great loot tension and epic battels , sometimes you win sometimes you losse but people can't hanndel that and rage to unbelivable amounts .

The behavior i have seen so called adults display while playing this game is noting short of mind boggling to me , on both sides of the conflict ( player A ganks player B and is a total ass about it running down the poor player who got jumped . Other times it's the player who got jumped who launches into a rage fit )

The real problem hear is this sort of behavior is coming to RL faster and faster. 1 year ago i had this 18 year old kid working for me , he was a hot head , but had a strong back so i kept him . However one day he just fucking losses it over nothing on another young guy i had working for me , he was in the wrong and i saw the whole thing . I took him aside and explained to him that that kind of behavior is never ok , however he would hear nothing of it and began rageing at me !!! Then he threw a punch at me !!!! so i fiered him on the spot , at this point he came at me full force. So of course i broke the steroid poping asshole jaw .

The next day his MOTHER AND FATHER came to my home and thretend my GF and kicked my dog right infront of her , 2 days later i was sewed for Wrongful dismissal and assault .

The judge ate these people alive in court . How they thought it could turn out any other way is beyond me . Why did they think i owed their son a job ? why did this kid feel he could solve his problems with violence ? Why would he think attacking a man with knife fight scares on his body be a good idea ? why would he bring this mentality to a court room and think he could get away with it ?

What the hell is happening to the world ?

Just because someone is an adult, doesn't mean they are mature.

WoW would release an entire world at once, GGG fails at adding little cute quests to the same old shit. Sorry, not the same thing.

And that's supposed to make it better? Are you joking? That only makes my point even stronger, because not only are whales spending far more money than the average player, but they're doing so effectively as a donation. I don't know if you've caught on yet but GGG are not your friends. They are a business, and businesses are here to make money. They honestly do not give a damn about your kindness, they want your green.

By the way, your buddy who spent 1000 euros? He's exactly the problem here. People with loose wallets looking for a sense of gratitude from a business that doesn't know or care who he is.

I repeat: DO you see League creating "supporter packs" to get a lump sum out of people all in one shot? No. If someone is buying multiple skins at once, it's because they saw multiple skins they wanted. It's like if I go to the store and buy 20 t-shirts because I want 20 t-shirts. I didn't go buy a 20-t-shirt supporter pack that exceeds the value of the actual fucking shirts. League makes their money off the people who buy 1-2 skins at a time, then maybe in a few months buy another 1-2 skins. They don't need supporter packs because enough people are willing to make small purchases.

Or at least they were, until they introduced RNG boxes. Which is another problem, as we have someone in another thread as we speak who dropped $250 on RNG boxes to get a pair digital wings. I cannot stress enough how far removed from common sense and fiscal responsibility that kind of behavior is.

These are the people propping up GGG, because they sure as hell aren't making enough off of their wildly fluctuating player base, as it scrabbles up ever-so-slightly from the lowest total active users in PoE history just last week.

So this got interesting....lol. Comparing to LoL is ridiculous man...that game is backed by a highly profitable industry....aka Esports? GGG doesnt have tournaments backed by wealthy sponsors. Intel isnt sponsoring teams....

Dota 2 has same FTP model and a lower playerbase and still extremely profitable. Theyre backed by Valve who is stupid wealthy...can afford to sell items for 5-10$. People easily spend same amount as supportors in PoE.

Of course PoE is a business. But saying they dont care about their playerbase is quite stupid man...they dont exist without us period, end of story. Look a any compay who lost sight of that and theyve likely got a dead game.

We're playing an ARPG. Not WoW. We're not ridin dragons and doing raids. I mean what else do we demand? They gave us act 4..obviously woking on an a5. Theyre giving us leagues( we demand those too and we get mad if they come too quicky or too slowly )

They add skills, gems, mobs, and update the engine, etc.

I mean you guys...the CEO of the company has a podcast with our popular streamers. What other game do you know that does that? Exactly...

I played POE on off since the closed beta, in the beginning I didn't play much, and didn't buy much.

When I play alot of it, I try to give money that seems fair to me for the amount I played.
Since I'm not doing this with math, it can vary heavily.

I don't even really care about the MTX, sure I use them why not.

I played 400+ hours in Perandus, for me it's more then fair to give them some money, actually I'd feel bad if I didn't.

the best proof that the negativity in these forums makes most people feel depressed is that devs mainly post on reddit and use these forums for announcements mostly.

or chris, jonathan and carl just want to avoid being called whiteknights ;)

Ontopic: All gaming forums I've been in were toxic.

1. People are generally more toxic in anonymous and impersonal online environments.

2. People have much more to say about stuff they don't like than about stuff they like. The ones who are enjoying the game are too busy playing, discussing builds and mechanics or fooling around with less than serious threads or posts. After all, it would be a bit silly to regularly post threads like "good job GGG, I'm having a blast". These threads to get posted but they are just rare. On the other hand, when someone doesn't like something, boy oh boy do they have a lot to say about it :)

Reddit is just a circle-jerk where any criticism gets down voted creating a rose-colored glasses view of things. It's like only making a circle of like-minded people as your friends and ignoring anyone else which distorts reality. It doesn't fully reflect the actual feelings of the community. Don't like someone's opinion, suppress it with a down vote!
