How I reached level 100 with only 4 stash tabs

stopped reading at "not pay to win at all"

Grats on your ;v100, I know it's really tough with these exp gain nerfs though I must say if it twice as hard for you to hit 99-100, it's probably 4 times harder for me as I've just reached 98 yesterday and T13 maps give me 700k exp now compared to 1.2m at lv97 lol.

If different means by doing rather than talking then yes. If you care so much about saving money for your parents, why don't you work part time as a TA rather than playing games?

I am a TA...

All phD students by default are required to work as TA unless their professors choose to sponsor them through alternate sources of funding. If you are talking about picking an additional job beyond the job requirement of a phD student, then that is prohibited in the US for foreign students VISA.

I do not get paid a lot, enough to sustain basic living but when it comes to buying a car or major flight tickets I am still a young man dependent on my parents. It is not very nice...

Well. Still. If you love GGG as much as you claim, surely you can part with $5 from your TA allowance to support? Its not as if I'm suggesting you need to buy a top tier pack for the entertainment you've received from POE.

In any case, you have been more than cordial in replying to me and I have no wish to antagonize you further.

Congrats. Level 100 is an achievement indeed. And best of luck for your PhD programme.

Grats on hitting the big 100!
100 is an achievement. Reaching 100 with 4 stash tabs as a proof of principle is also an achievement. Calling the game pay-to-win after showcasing the ability to "win" the game (arguably reaching 100 is the ultimate goal in poe) without spending a dime makes me question your critical thinking skills. Also protip for your next thrifty foray to 100: You can create unlimited free mule accounts.

Depends on what your definition of 'win' is, I figured that a lot of players disputing over whether the game is now p2w merely have different definitions of p2w.

If your definition is whether every player can achieve the same goal in this game ultimately, then no.
If your definition is whether every player has 100% equal accessibility in this game, then yes.

The definition I like the most came from that Solwitch, he said the game right now is 0.00001% pay to win. That captures the difference in beliefs among POE players in pretty much one sentence.
you pay money, you get gameplay advantage

one major goal of players is to get good gear,
some good gear costs alot of orbs,

orbs are easy to get by selling
more stash tabs = more things possible to sell

stash tabs = pay to win
no getting around the fact...

1 stash maps, 1 stash chaos recipe, 1 stash chaos/ex possibly mirror, 1 stash a bit of everything else. This would have been sufficient for me going to 100 too - I have unnecessary stockpiles of currency I don't really use that I could have flipped into chaos/ex.

You don't get an advantage, you get QOL. You can have infinite stash tabs in this game without paying a dime.

Again it comes down to your definition of winning at this game.
If good gear is p2w, you can pay for QOL to make it easier.
If getting to lvl 100 is winning, you don't need to pay a cent.

E: Gratz Peng, I don't have the patience to reach 100 :)
