Any word on insane ping and lag issue?

Just because some are not experiencing lag doesn't mean the game/server isn't the cause. There could be other aspects of the patch that can be affecting some people but not others. Regional problems, something incompatible with certain user types. Like maybe something they did has an issue with certain drivers. Yes that's computer based, but not that their computer has a problem but the game has an issue with their computer.

I've had some random issues but not sure yet if it's my computer or the game/network.....only time shall tell.

I can't think of a case I ever heard a random driver was an issue towards high ping.

If he tracert/pings the server from CMD and it's high on average, I'm nearly certain it has nothing to do with the servers/local pc.

Dude, you need to be persistent. Look at me, even came here in the forum read some shit because i crashed 6 TIMES IN A ROW. Not a problem, it is all cool. My map is still open, let's see if this time i can do that map trial. Wish me luck.

Edit: 7 crash now. Record.

Edit 2: 8 crashes. Damn, i will stop counting, if i keep the fun will go away. I mean, it is fun seeing the game fighting to load memory without being even using it. Memory is far from full, even so the game seems like forgot how to use it :O, really, that is... a patience test.

My sympathies.

There might be a solution to your problems though.

Probably there is. To someone that never crashed i think there's something wrong. I am missing my old lags now, damn, good times disconnecting 1-2 times per week and complaining about it. I miss you perandus mobs. At least you were just a part of the game that lagged, not the whole game. Going sleep, patience bar is 0 already, i forced too much because i really like prophecy(not that stinking performance upgrade). Let's replenish the patience bar to 100% again and play 5 hours and lag another 8 :)
Sometimes...

Yes, I can see how ingame loading of assets have a very direct link to ping. Since the network code and dynamic asset loading are pretty much the same. Oh I forgot, it does load all the assets from their server, hmm yes, since theres no assets on your local drive anymore and it has to download so much from their server it cloggs up the pipes. Yes I agree.

And somehow I totally did not see the thing I wrote, what was it? Ahh yes, "most likely"... such an unimportant part of what I said. Especially in connection with "others" who have "no" problems.

Yeah, I'll be honest I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or serious at this point, beyond the snide remarks....I will say this, please don't come into a conversation with 'you're mostly wrong, it's probably X', when someone's just asking if there's been word on a problem or not...

I had 30ms latency before 2.3.0, now I have 30ms after the patch, so it's not the game.

That's actually why I'm asking at all. some 20 out of a couple hundred of us still have great pings, while the rest of us have pings that make absolutely no sense. I'm rocking a 200ms+ from my nearest server, while a guy 100 miles from me is somehow getting 50ms despite being further away. If everyone was getting shitty ping, I imagine there'd be a PSA, and since there isn't...

So again I'll ask again, has there been any word on this or not. Not here to debate anything, I just want to know if there's word from the developers or not.
Never had crashes before, had 10 since patch. Performance is the worst since ive started playing and also never had issues. I think it was a post on reddit. They said MAJORITY doesnt have any problems. "Majority" Funny word in last few months. :)
Ok, I need a solution in this patch, the lag is obvious when many people in town.
So do a lot of us apparently, unless this thing is effecting only one guild spread across the globe. Since no one answered the question, I looked, the devs seem obsessed with fixing a sound error, and not touching the lag issue that's cropped up.

Did you do this: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1377789 ?
Where does the high ping start or none at all, while still having a high ping in game?

If the ping starts to get high before it reaches the last hop/server, then it has absolutely nothing to do with POE.

If the ping is only high at the server maybe it's on poe, most likely on the people who maintain the servers.

If you don't have any high pings, but high latency in the game then voila, it's most likely the software on the servers.

Yeah I and a few others tried it, the test itself didn't turn up anything; As far as the test is concerned, all of our ping ended up pretty low and the same as it was before the patch. Jump into the game, and suddenly we're all rocking 150+ for no clear reason.

That's also part of the reason why I'm convinced it's the game/servers. Everything but the game itself running is perfectly fine. Get into the game, suddenly there's huge dips in ping and latency. That, and the fact a multinational guild of a few hundred all are having the same issue regardless of where they are or who they're with.
Two characters gone due to lag, bit of a shame. It's really weird, my ping is never above 35 yet I just can't move, can't do anything, but my HP just drops like normal. Never had this problem before Prophecy patch, it's so good otherwise too :[
