Any word on insane ping and lag issue?

See title.

Was really looking forward to playing through Prophecy with my friends...But no one can even play because of the insane lag. Hell 7 of us are in the same damn town, and we're all getting pings above 150ms from the closest servers, which were 30ms before the 'upgrade'. So, any specific word on when the problem will be fixed? Or what's causing it?

Besides roll back the game so that whatever is wrong with this update goes away....Find out why from one version where ping was 30ms, the ping jumped up to a minimum of 150ms after they release the new patch. It's not our town, or our computers, it's the game. The game is the only thing that's changed since last Monday.
If some players have good pings on the server and others not. It's most likely not the game.

Routing from ISPs change from time to time bad things happen.

In 99% of the cases it's related to the route (Your house -> ISP -> Servers) not the servers, especially if other can play normally with a low ping.

Okay, then it's purely coincidental that after the game is patched with a new way of handling loading and latency related to loading assets (Loading assets as you play on-demand), with no major changes in ISP, equipment, ect. several players both on here and on Steam are reporting issues where the latancy suddenly jumped up, even when they're sitting right on top of the servers.....Yep, no, it must totally be several different ISPs changing their routing for one game and one game only.

Works fine to me, sorry, I always had 100ms, so... Nothing changes to me

Yes, I can see how ingame loading of assets have a very direct link to ping. Since the network code and dynamic asset loading are pretty much the same. Oh I forgot, it does load all the assets from their server, hmm yes, since theres no assets on your local drive anymore and it has to download so much from their server it cloggs up the pipes. Yes I agree.

And somehow I totally did not see the thing I wrote, what was it? Ahh yes, "most likely"... such an unimportant part of what I said. Especially in connection with "others" who have "no" problems.

I had 30ms latency before 2.3.0, now I have 30ms after the patch, so it's not the game.

Just because some are not experiencing lag doesn't mean the game/server isn't the cause. There could be other aspects of the patch that can be affecting some people but not others. Regional problems, something incompatible with certain user types. Like maybe something they did has an issue with certain drivers. Yes that's computer based, but not that their computer has a problem but the game has an issue with their computer.

I've had some random issues but not sure yet if it's my computer or the game/network.....only time shall tell.
Dude, you need to be persistent. Look at me, even came here in the forum read some shit because i crashed 6 TIMES IN A ROW. Not a problem, it is all cool. My map is still open, let's see if this time i can do that map trial. Wish me luck.

Edit: 7 crash now. Record.

Edit 2: 8 crashes. Damn, i will stop counting, if i keep the fun will go away. I mean, it is fun seeing the game fighting to load memory without being even using it. Memory is far from full, even so the game seems like forgot how to use it :O, really, that is... a patience test.

Edit 3: Nah, i have to type it, the 9th crash is here, lost the trial, last portal. It is a record, beat it.
Sometimes...
