I'm a starting player (played last two weeks of breach) and i like the sound of this build, but my questions is if the "leveling Guide" still works? And because we drop the pyre ring (if i understand correctly?) do we need to get to Avatar of fire earlier?

This thread has [2.6] in its title and says that it's updated for 2.6 in the very first line. It is current, including the leveling guide.

Is the wise oak flask a good flask?
, if fire is your highest resist you get 20% free fire pen

My current gear in breach, DPS sitting at around 4k, cruising through 7-9 maps right now, done atziri without curse set up easy mode one shot all phases, feelsgood

I've seen several set ups now, should we use Elemental Focus or Controlled Destruction as our 5th or rather 6ths damage slot ?

What are the pro's and cons of each ?

I have found it pretty useful and cheap myself.

Though with this flask if I have all my uncapped ele resistances at the same number does that mean that i get 20% pen of all elemental types and 10% damage reduction to all elements?

How much you paid for that chest?

As for the setup:

I'm playing SR, CWC, FirePen, Leech, Cold To Fire and Elemental Focus.

EleFocus vs Controlled Destruction:
EleFocus has higher more and better overload trigger rate (~9-10% critchance with icestorm).
CD seems similar. It has slightly lower more and with just 5% crit ignite is not much, but theoretically it could be similar dps.

Conc has more dps but reduced area. Against single target it is an advantage, I don't know how to factor in how much dps you gain from overlapping. Against normal map bosses it's not needed to swap gem because the other setup already melts them ;-).

As for cursing: I'm using Orb Of storms with curse on hit, is cwtd ball lightning better? CWTD does not proc Mastermind of Dicord I think? so i still need to put down my (unlinked) Orb of storm?

Hello recently started leveling as this build and have been finding it amazingly enjoyable. I discovered this unique helm that has really helped the process do you think it would be worthy of adding to leveling section?



level 39 helm so fits in with the gear switch.

Why is Izaro's Turmoil so good? I compared it to a 15 int 15% cold jewel and was only getting around 30 tooltip dmg. Turmoil was 24% 19%.

Due to elemental focus I don't think we can ignite or freeze, so the 2% effects are wasted too.
