If I die to the Shaper, I hit the anti-chill flask before re-entering the arena. There can be vortexes right where you enter or near that spot. You need to dodge the current attack, and possibly the next one too, get near the Shaper again, pop Orb, cast Icestorm on him and then start facetanking. Getting chilled is really bad for that. As well as having zero movement speed on your boots. I guess you need a Quiksilver flask of Heat (only 2 use instead of 4 on Sulphur that I use).

That's the problem with your boots: Shaper and Hydra can get real bad without movement speed.

Just a question:
Why do you shift cold to fire? You use elemental focus, even the witch/penetration synnergies it make no sense?

The Shaper cannot be taunted.

The initial cold damage is converted to fire. This lets us take advantage of both Fire and Cold damage modifiers, as well as the bonuses from the Flame golem and Elementalist Ascendancy nodes.

Elementalist is +ele damage, it doesent double dip(same source). Same goes for flame Golem. Lightning golem gives u more paper dps and against bosses cast speed and duration are like +more multipliers. If u have more Storms up per second u deal more dps(played firestorm for a long time should be the same with icestorm). Advantage of cold seems to be in frostbomb(-20 resis) and the freeze for safty while mapping and the ring slot(quad curse with deodres?)

Didnt know that only did him with warchief Totems. Switching targets with a stibnite between totems and yourself still works. Might be worth popping one when u (re)enter the fight

With ur setup ever tried 3 dragons? Cold to fire for ele focus gem? Can we shock a boss with a single hit(we hit 20 times per sec so crit/shock isnt an issue)?

Sry for all the questions mate but Iam just theory planning that build. Could u give me ur max int with both emperor jewles and with/without Perandus Signet?

Why is +1 curse astramentis sooooo rare? Sitting on a legacy perandus is killing me...

40c ammy times 86(chance to hit +1)=50 ex

I noticed that you recommend a Doedre's Damning but in your standard setup you are using a legacy perandus. That int bonus % looks very nice, do you think replacing a Doedre's for a non-legacy perandus would be good ?
