In early lvls try to get AOE Radius which helps you run faster and later when u get Blasphemy with Warlord's Mark leech come also faster. Hmmm I think that 5k ES will be good for start with CI. Lvling is not so nice at starts of new leagues in CI ;/

What about bandits?

Kill all (skillpoint) -> Alira (5% Cast speed) -> Alira (Power charge)?

or should i take 16% phys% dmg in cruel by helping oak?

probably for a jewel that gives ES instead of life in that area of the tree

Using controlled destruction as a crit character is not a uncommong thing to do..you lose some % critchance but gain a lot of spelldamage so its worth it.

but if u put a gem that reduces ur crit by 100%, u will not have crit dmg...
