Content Update 2.3.0 Patch Notes

Really looking forward to it. I played this game for the first time 2 weeks ago and played a Shadow, but I think I made many errors in my passive points allocation. Looking forward to a fresh start!

GGG sry, but i am disappointed in this decissions and the general direction the game is going in terms of endgame balancing in gerneral. With not ajusting this issue you created the same old boring meta for another 3 months. CoC Discharge is ruling since 1.3 (more than a year ago!!!), LA is ruling since chaos buffs and especially since Ascendancy came out.
You even buffed Elemental Proliferation up to a value where it can be abused. with Slayer you basically can go up to the "old broken eleprolif status" like it was in 1.3 (you can reach the same radius) while doing even more damage than it ever was possible in 1.3 - how you can not recognize that issue?
But the biggest fail of all imho is this: You even buffed poison even more - you where already able to oneshot Ueber Atziri with poison with a Vaal Lightning Trap --> now you won't even need that anymore to do that... i am speechless.


I have never witnessed a balance team which had been so incompetent about such obvious broken stuff in any other online game i have ever played. Why arn't you able to figure this out yourself? Sry, but i don't believe any longer that anyone on your balance team actually plays the game on an endgame level (past lvl 85) except GGG_Neon - you guys over there are completly out of touch what is going on right now!
Why are you not fixing obvivous flaws? One could just think you want to destroy your own game on purpose!



CoC Discharge fix would be so easy; you would not even have to touch the CoC support gem for it - just give Discharge a 1sec cooldown and be done with it! it would fix so much things at the same time. Also discuss about how to adress CoC in the future.

Decouple poison and burning damage from modifiers like projectile damage, trap damage and mine damage. Is this really that much of an effort to do?

Set Frostwall to "cannot be pierced" temporarly for a hotfix for now and discuss with your team how you gonna ajust this problem/inbalance in the future.



I personaly can not understand what actually is hard to do/impossible to do about this justified nerfs. 90% of the ajustments/nerfs released by your balance team over the last half year where just horrible done and lead to the following results:

- first scenario: completly destroying a skill or a mechanic
- second scenario: the nerf doing absolutly nothing/had no effect on the game at all

GGG, you make nobody happy if you are going on with this policy - show us that you really care about the health of your game.



If nothing changes within the next 2 days i can see myself playing prophecy for 1 week maximum - not because the game is not great and i am not excited for the new content; no, it's because of boredom and the overwhelming amount of unbalanced stuff in this game which trivializes content and destroys the fresh economy and ruins the ingame experience over all for a large part of players out there who actually enjoy somthing called "challange".

Increased the attack time of Whirling Blades by 18%. Its previous default attack time was 2.2 seconds. It is now 2.6 seconds.

In case of chaos damage conversion.

1: how I understand it will work. If I deal 10k lightning dmg and use a voltaxic I would deal 6k chaos dmg + 4k lightning dmg.

Ad. 1: If that's the case then it's not a system change but a simple items nerf and to make it worse it's a retroactive nerf.

Ad. 2: If that were the case then it would be a true system change. It would put chaos conversiom in a place it previously was. We would have to sacrifice a big chunk of our damage to gain a reflect immunity. Originally chaos damage was a "elegant" type of damage, imposible to reflect, hard to resist and hard to effectievely scale. I think this approach should be taken

I dont think discharge is the problem but CoC is.
You could simply use something like flame surge and glacial cascade with concetrated effect and void batterys to deal tons more damage than the discharge CoC.
They should place a damage penalty on CoC or nerf the chance to proc into the ground.
Chris also stated a while ago that CoC could get a 0.5 duration and 100% chance to proc on crit.
The only problem i see with CoC discharge is the clearspeed but even that is mediocre compared to something like flickerstrike or a good spectral throw build.

If you want to archive something in this game you have to be fast. The introduction of the "Vendor Tabs" out of your stash last league just made the game so boring for me, because almost every item was worthless instantly. You already have to be very fast at league start to get something from the pie before everything becomes worthless and now it's not even an extra work you have to do to dump your items on the market.

Just strg+click your shit in vendor tabs and continue farming.

I'm not sure if you have ever been in a party with a CoC whatever, but when they don't freeze the whole screen with 3 million projectiles constantly, then you see some moving sphere bursting multiple times every second killing everything without looking behind and you will start feel every stupid to attack a few monsters multiple times while your 'buddy' cleaned already 7 more packs.

WHAT!? You are left with a market for currency, silver coins and T1-3 uniques while almost everything else is vendor trash. How to get currency, silver coins and high T uniques? YES YES and YES clearspeed clearspeed and more clearspeed.
While you allow super imba clearspeed builds you allow the divide between rich and poor get automatically bigger. Not to mention the guys with specific tools in position which still are rubbing their hands since introduction of the trivial vendor system.

I really absolutely don't have any fun playing this game, when I start Prophecy 3 days later and can buy every item for 1 chaos up to map only uniques. They poorly adjusted the unique droprates to the unique availability to each player with the introduction of the new vendor system.

Flameblast nerfed, Mjölner nerfed, Poision Arrow nerfed and they even nerfed Whispering Ice DURING the league. Let see how this league goes..

Why you shout about that , Frost Wall mechanic is the only way for some Kinetic builds to have at least some kind of Single target DPS. This is must mechanic in some situations - don't see why a lot of you want from GGG to ruined it , if you don't like it - it is simple enough don't use it.But for some players with this type of builds it is the only way not to skip bosses at all on higher tier maps , so stop crying and enjoy the game !
