Secret beyond godlike drops from beta player - need testing
I think it has a lot to do with perception, it must. I recall the same exact feeling back in diablo 2, ohh so many years ago (Idk, 15?). With a blizz sorc and 300 MF my drops were much better than with my hammerdin, 1 shotting, with 800 MF. Then people made up "MF wrap around" rumors and such, so I made a blizz sorc with 1150 MF... Good times; same feeling here though.
MF value seemed to be undermined by the difficulty and duration of the fight. Perhaps after a long difficult fight we expect to see something good. I can recall many times getting absolute trash (all blues) from my first go at a major boss that seemed to take forever. I've also had most of my drops worth keeping come from trash mobs. I still however agree with the OP; leading me to believe that it must be perception. |

" Decent catch - I'd say Tier 10 to 11. Seen better ones, altho you used really little bait. So that is quite nice! :D On topic - we all are biased towards thinking something. The thing about "long downtimes" is something I "noticed", too. I'm almost certain it is false, but also it is very hard to test, not to mention that it has very little impact, too. Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance.
Ignorance more frequently begets confidence than does knowledge.
Once again the stupidity of some people really amazes me. Well done OP... This game is all RNG and trading, nothing else and nothing more.
Man's Hurbris is such a fickle thing.

I wish there was something like this in place tbh. Give melee a boost in IIR/IIQ vs monsters downed by melee skills. So, you either run the top clear speed builds via ranged, or you can risk melee for quicker rewards.

This reminds me of the "loot servers" thing that was disussed and explored to death in vanilla D3. Lol, that stuff was hilarious. So many people were on that train, it boggles the mind.
If you missed it, the idea was that certain servers on certain IPs had a much higher MF-setting and would provide you with more legendary loot. People spent hours reconnecting to servers so they would get onto The Right One, the elusive Loot Server. And they did statistics for weeks, huge spreadsheets with lots of confirmation bias all over the place. It truly is one of the most successful and elaborate trolls I've seen in modern times, I've got to say. It just refused to die too, this went on for months.
We all know good items are dropping only if you do your character dance each time you enter an area.
Alternatively you can pray in a1n near the waypoint before starting a league. Or play basket with alt shards near a map boss. Turning three times on your chair will give you around 500% chance to get a decent item drop aswell. Hf :)

Ok so i get jumped again called troll and baiter w/e. Did you even read my previous post in this topic?
Funny this comes from people who know NOTHING about random number generation. So did Legacy items naturally goes away as intended or they still core of standard economy 4 years later after they became "feature". Last edited by nexuscz#0322 on May 31, 2016, 10:27:16 AM

Hard to answer to you when you consider you know everyone's knowledges in this thread.
I generated more currencies by running clearspeed builds able to clear dried lake in 35sec with 200/60 or maps up to tier 11 than any of my previous builds in three years. My observations are different than yours. Who is right ? Who is wrong ? Hf :)
