" With lv.4 Empower, which is some how rare, you will get 2% increased blocks. Even with the ascendancy, which I do not know very well, I am not so sure if it worth the effort. |

" 20 70 155 33 35% 34% 594 23 76 N/A 35 36% 36% 743 These values are not a liner increase, so might be worth linking to it. I do not know much about summoners though. |

Im not talking about summoners, but about builds exploiting the Necromancer´s ascendancy passive, which can be basically anything;)
non-SRS summoners usually dont need max block as they have the meat shields IGN: Eric_Lindros CET: Timezone Last edited by Ludvator#6587 on May 22, 2016, 3:01:08 PM

" Good point. Thank you. This use seems the best way so far, but subject to already ready to set in adjustments to the ascendancy classes? Last edited by TrichocereusSP#7065 on May 22, 2016, 3:04:51 PM

" Though Empower's usually not as good as Enhance for curses. At least in the case of temp chains, vulnerability, and projectile weakness. On a tangent note, we need a 'melee weakness' curse. Melees deserve a good offensive curse too. And on a more related note, lvl 4 Empower is generally a 5th/6th support gem for spells/minion scalings that don't have many good 'more' modifiers anywhere else. Like Caustic Arrow (which is spell-like in its scaling), which tends to have a bunch of 30% or 40% 'more' modifiers available that lvl 4 empower slightly outdoes. on my crit arc sceptre + shield build I have a choice of 3 gems for the 6th: added lightning, crit damage or empower.
lvl21/20 added lightning = 72,600 dps with 7 chains lvl21/20 crit multi = 76,000 dps with 7 chains lvl4 empower = 73,600 dps with 8 chains multi is the most tooltip, but it weights my damage onto my crits, arc is such a swingy skill to begin with that this is not a good thing. It also makes me more vulnerable to reflect while losing me an entire chain, and when you 1 shot most packs the chain is effectively way more damage in practice. this is why I use lvl4 empower on my arc build. I also use it on my essence drainer and my ek. I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

" I would be careful with such generalization.. vaal MS, for example, has around 44% more damage @23 than @20, + 320 extra base armour Explosive arrow deals secondary damage (as well as Bear trap), that lacks solid damage supports phys spells are the other group, added fire may look the same @tooltip dps but empower gives phys damage, that is not a subject to be reduced by enemy resists searing bond also lacks damage supports and + level adds also totem life, that adds tankiness and can also indirectly affect your damage with Tukohama chieftain passive etc.. @Shppy
I heard from a friend for curse support empower is good deal. Thank you for confirming the info. @Snorkle_uk Your arc caster looks cool, and I totally agree with the importance of averaging the damage and the extra chain. Actual example with number and details help figure it a lot. Thank you too. @Ludvator You are absolutely right, there are still skills which lack the diversity of available support gems, and the secondary nature of effect from the gem levels like totems. Thank you too. Last edited by TrichocereusSP#7065 on May 22, 2016, 3:58:28 PM
