I've been playing POE for almost 2 years now, and I've still not learned a good way to make currency. I've tried flipping drillnecks, running high tier maps, chaos recipes, and even playing in hardcore. None of the ways have worked out all that well, mainly playing in hardcore. My computer isn't very good and when I'm leveling I tend to die from frame drops and not being able to react in time because of it. I've even tried running atziri, but with terrible frames and the lack of currency to make a better build for it, I've not found much success.

What I'm trying to get at is: Is there a way to make currency that would be possible for someone who can't play in hardcore, or do atziri?

I know that a lot of people have secret ways of getting currency and certain items to flip and that they want to keep them a secret so that they can continue doing it that way, but if you're willing to give some tips and pointers to me then I will be truly grateful.

If you don't want to have your secret ways of making currency be out in the open, but you're willing to share them with me, I'll keep those ways to myself and not make them public.

-Thank you for your feedback and time.

Having currency in softcore is not very usefull.

HC bait always gets me:

Define useful.

What makes SC currency less useful than HC currency? What's the use in the first place? To perfect your build, right?

So what makes doing that in HC more meaningful than doing it in SC?

Anyone can stack all the defensive skills in their tree and plow through overleveled content. If you find that fun, great. But there's nothing that makes your version of fun translate to you being a better player than people with a different definition than you.

You wanna impress? You wanna have "meaning," or be "useful?"

Innovate a new build.

And/or make a squishy HC build and show it off clearing some of the most difficult maps.

Have you done any of this?

Or do you just copypaste the tankiest build that everyone else has already used, and then smear your elitism on everyone's forehead?

GG also means Godly Gear :P

I think that's a coincidence.

Pretty sure the implication here is that, "if you wear this gear, it's GG already [because the game's gonna be over]."

Was this started in D2?

I assume a lot of these things started in D2 just because that's where I've first seen them all, but maybe it's not the case.

@Logik

Just a neutral observation, you sound like one of those guys who's "worked their ass off" at a shitty job for 10 years until you finally made it in life, and don't have to do all that bullshit anymore.

I do believe that playing the market is probably the best & fastest way to make currency, but 1) with my preference (mapping forever) you get to level at the same time, and 2) well, like I said. You sound like you've worked a shit job for 10 years and don't have to do it anymore. I don't know how many people wanna load up this game with the mentality that they gotta "work a job" for a time before they get to enjoy themselves freely.
