As far as I can tell, this is the implementation of the mirror shards concept. There's just two different sizes of shard, one that's one ninth of a mirror and one that's one ninetieth of a mirror.

The Gambler made sense since it can be any divination card but this one...

Dying anguish doesn't seem very appealing but at least it's better than The Carrion Crow, The Metalsmith's Gift or Lantador's Lost Love

All of them aren't bad, for sure. I've seen each of them used. So nice card. I expect that card to end up making The Taming a lot more accessible though. That might be good, or it might make Elemental Proliferation builds suddenly a LOT more popular. We'll have to see.

No, bad precedent is bad precedent, and I agree with you.

However...GGG has announced it. They've SET the precedent. Cat is OUT of the bag. They're GOING to add this now, and we can't stop them. All we can do now is try to mitigate the damage that this card will now do. No company can announce something they're releasing and then give up on it before releasing it. Or at least, no company does. GGG isn't going to delete that card because we complained before they put it out, and after it's released, they can't remove it without shorting the people who have the card.

TLDR I agree, but we're screwed.

That sets a far worse precedent than some flawed view as to what you're claiming there, when it's what the Supporter wished with their purchase and not necessarily GGG's own personal design.




EDIT: And yes, I realize GGG balances how cards drop, and the amount needed, etc.

Storm cloud is a leveling unique. Having reliable access to a cheap-as-chips unique is only of value to self found. I wish more cards gave access to decent but not insane items tbh.
