I would really, really like an offline mode PoE

Heh, just wait until GGG finishes the game, or gets it to a decent level as storyline + balance point - if it would imply lots of work to get the additional content out for offline version too, we should only expect such a move latter, when game is completed from their point of view...

It would be perfect if it allowed mods and LAN party playing with up to 6 persons, and offer trade for parties during that session but they still have lots of work ahead...

They also shouldn't be concerned too much about support, as playing 60$ or f@ck it, even 100$ for a complete sandbox experience with offline PoE won't seem much if the game is complete and they feel that offline mode would be ok, us addicted PoE fans will fork the cash for a lag/desync free experience that we could enjoy as long as we want...

They also reached a level of popularity where their player base knows about the game, saw the improvements that were made during all this time and could easily choose to extend their support for another project - be it a new IP, or a PoE sequel...

God only knows that lots of the gamers that loved the space simulators developed by Chris Roberts were forking cash when they saw an opportunity to get a great one, and the snowball effect went beyond anyyone expectations - and now, that alpha state game just grows to something that will show once and for all that if you had a vision and fought for it, it might surprise everyone in the end...

I just hope that PoE will rise to it's potential, and for that, an offline version will be mandatory...
PSS: Our almighty TencentGGG overlords are very scrupulous regarding criticizing their abilities to take proper decisions and consider everything "needlessly harsh and condescending"...

Good to know "free speech" doesn't apply in any form or manner on the forums these days...

I'm guessing the Xbox version will be playable offline like Diablo 3. Not many people hook up their consoles to the net.

If that was the case, the XBox version would be superior to the PC version already...
It's just, like, people's opinions, man.

But I cannot respect motherf♪♫♫♪rs calling something a simulator, when it isn't one.
It would be great for experimentation etc. I would like it.
Censored.
Never gonna happen. Devs too terrified of being shown up in terms of creativity and skill by modders. And WAY too addicted to them short term ducats.

EVERY dev wants to patent the vowels and run a cult when they grow up.

Online only MP game is the best way to do that.

They don't give an eff about any of us or what we want.

The only time this will happen is post singularity when everyone has an AI to talk with that can write a custom game for them. But by then, why play poe when you can swim in a lucid dream?

Sorry guys, but the cult of intellectual property law prohibits many kinds of innovation, an offline moddable poe is clearly one of them.

And that ladies and gents is why I gave away my guild and will likely never log in for substantive play again.
Too much censorship that you never even see. Totally removed posts and silenced accounts across all communities. https://www.youtube.com/@Innomen

I still think they might sell it once they stop actively working on it. You know "we're not modifying it anymore, we're not supporting it anymore - NOW you can buy the offline version".

Which isn't exactly what we want, but it's better than never.

Playing Grim Dawn and even going back to good old Titan Quest and Median XL (D2) recently, made me want an offline version of Path Of Exile right about now.

No Ladders. Trading. "Competitive" leagues or whatnot.
Just me going up against the perils of Wraeclast, with the stuff this game still does better than any other, in my opinion: skills. Passives. Jewels. Cool enabler uniques with some lore packed into them...

I'd pay for Single Player Path Of Exile right about now.
More than I would for a AAA title on the market. A lot more.

So play the game solo and don't trade lol , what are you even talking about .
Im a sailor and i spend my 6 months on a ship without internet. Sometimes i just want to play poe in my freetimes but... Just looking icon of PoE and missing my char.

SSF. But because servers - lag spikes, fps drops, etc. Would be easier offline mod. Also - if ISP hav a emergency and You loose "the internet" then still can play. Current state? Forget it - with no server connection = no play.

As if this is just a one big DRM. But the game is for free so in this condidtion i can agree on it.
What really bothers me is other - especially AAA - companies that want to "borrow" their product for not so small money. Thats is just... well.
