I would really, really like an offline mode PoE

Playing Grim Dawn and even going back to good old Titan Quest and Median XL (D2) recently, made me want an offline version of Path Of Exile right about now.

No Ladders. Trading. "Competitive" leagues or whatnot.
Just me going up against the perils of Wraeclast, with the stuff this game still does better than any other, in my opinion: skills. Passives. Jewels. Cool enabler uniques with some lore packed into them...

I'd pay for Single Player Path Of Exile right about now.
More than I would for a AAA title on the market. A lot more.

So say we all, John

So say we all

In all seriousness I don't think the developers will even consider an offline mode until they are dying out. I do feel like they are making provisions toward that ultimate destination though, with things like forbidden masters (decent gear with much less RNG) and divination cards (target farming). So I say, fingers crossed for an offline mode sometime between 3 and 50 years in the future

I'd love a pay to play offline version, even if every expansion was pay walled.

I bet they'd profit off it enough to justify the resources to produce and support it.

If it was like D2 single player with the added bonus to join realm then yes but you have to consider this...How many people will crack poe in offline mode? The few of us that would pay won't make up for the billions thats gonna steal it...Bonus would be offline lan mode(my brother/sister doesn't have net :s)We do play TQ together but not median as they suck with it xD(they not use to playing hardcore H&S)

So ye for that i would most def get POE offline but people would just steal it.Only game that i know of that haven't been fully cracked yet are Grim Dawn but one of the hackers already stated that once it gets fully released he would crack it :/
I really hope that the game gets an offline mode, be it when the game is dead or not .. i just want to have the option to play PoE ... forever.

+1
See my sig.
Online delenda est:
When the lifecycle of PoE will draw to an end many years from now,
there needs to be a final patch making it available offline.

Hopefully in a few years or so when all acts are out and we have only normal and merciless! Woooh! And maybe by then I'm going to have a PC that will be able to run the game smoothly! :)
NO! Just.... NOO!
I like turtles.
I would love an offline version. I think people underestimate what people have donated and still will donate to this game.

I don't understand how they would lose profits in the long run. I think most people would like to play both multiplayer and single player. Sure your not going to pay for any transactions in Single player but if you play multiplayer too then you probably would spend as much as you would if there wasn't a single player mode.

They could just set a bottom line for single player then they wouldn't have to worry about people stealing, pirating, or otherwise not paying for it. Like a go fund it or whatever they call those. X amount of cash and they make a single player mode otherwise no go and they just refund the cash.

That being said I don't understand why a lot of gaming companies do what they do cash wise so I'm probably not the one to give advice.

Could you please elaborate as to why not?
