Why don't some people pick up currency or do the chaos/regal recipe?
What should a real normal gameplay be then? Probably a Non-HC gameplay and playing the game as non-Speed Runny as possible?

" Havoc does pick up rares at least from what I know... |

" It depends on what league your on, what build you have, if you have IIQ and your current level of wealth. Past the first few days of a new league its not worthwhile to pickup chrome items or hammers. The more wealth you have the less time you should be spending picking up orbs worth less than 1 fusings and you should certainly not be picking up wisdom or even portal scrolls as a single chaos orb can buy 400/200 respectively. The time it takes to pick up 400/200 scrolls you could have made an exalt of loot and exp. IGN: Arlianth Check out my LA build: 1782214 Last edited by Nephalim#2731 on Apr 12, 2016, 12:34:11 AM

All that low tier currency doesn't come out of thin air though, especially on new leagues. Someone's gotta pick up and sell everything so you can buy hundreds for a chaos orb.

i do not watch streams but from i gathered it usually looks like that: the streamer is the one doing flashy job (leveling, zapping trough, atziri/uber runs) while several peons do the chores: trading, sustaining map pool, converting the currencies etc etc. i expect that there might even be peons doing the 'scraps' - running trough the empty maps picking up the missed stuff
and i 100% agree about the loot filters what is a purpose of flashy loot filter with 25 color variations when people are leaving 99% of that anyway? filter the useless stuff out then! but now it is cool to use the 'orange' filter so all people are using it while straining their eyes trying to visually sort out the visual vomit it creates on the screen filter is a 'filter' not a pretty printer (or rather - debatable printer in most cases) |

" That's pretty funny to imagine and probably true. What's even more funny is that those streamers created the sonic clear speed culture and now we have people attempting to imitate it by killing themselves nonstop, filling the screen with retardation like CoC discharge and leaving valuables like Exalteds behind thanks to playing in tunnel vision mode and using rainbow diarrhea loot filter some streamer recommends. |

" IMHO, that all only a part of the truth... It mainly depends on your/someone's mindset about playing (the game) and having ("still") fun. Of course, at a start from scratch you have use of basically anything, even scrolls. But if you're a pennygrabber (like me), it can take 'ages' to bring your mind to a point where you let skip that cheap stuff - like filtering Q<10 etc. If you matter about this, you may of course have an eye on your crafting (etc) demands; sometimes you stack orbs like the socket trio or alteration/augments, and sometimes they get burned within a moment... invited by timer @ 10.12.2011

" Have up upboat, friend. :D I had idiots coming to my stream, and asking why I'm picking up the Lesser Currencies and that I clear slowly. That is the product of sanic clear speed culture you're talking about. A pretty cancerous one, too. :v " So he picks up rares, which are mostly worth less than a alt orb (few shards), but does not pick up chrom items (which are worth at least a chrome, which is ~1 alt) or other lesser currencies? How does this make sense, hmmm? :P I know, I know, there are rare drops which will be worth far more, but all this I don't have time to pick up Alteration Orb! Gotta go fast, Sanic da Huchhag! is kinda stupid. It is gimmicky, for all noobs to be excited about - look at him, he clears so quickly, he doesn't even pick up items! I'd pick up these items! Wow! Wow! Wow! So quick! Just play however you feel like. I pick up most of the shit that drops, and I have no problem getting all the gear I want. Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance. Ignorance more frequently begets confidence than does knowledge. Last edited by Perq#4049 on Apr 12, 2016, 4:53:03 AM
