Perandus league has split this game apart

And it's hilarious! Suddenly, uniques are so easy to get that I've stashed up 5 tabs of them playing relatively slow clearing builds. Compare this to the fact I found 10 or 12 last time I played PoE. In half as much playing time, I've hoarded approximately 15x as many uniques (closer to 30x, including jewels). That's just wacky. I mean, uniques used to be rare and now they're everywhere. Cadiro has given me nice stuff like Drillneck, Thief's Ring, Aurseize (x3), Tabulas, unique maps, and mortals. The best part is they're so cheap, he's practically giving them away.

There was a straw poll recently where ~20% of people didn't want Perandus league folded into standard. I could care less, but if it does happen I'll get the popcorn out because the drama will be a blast. Heck, it already is. Chances are that the influx of uniques won't make any difference at all beyond a week or two because Perandus league almost feels like a different game altogether, and I bet plenty of players have noticed that and will leave with it.

In Perandus, there's a much higher chance that you might find stupidly rare stuff. It's like playing D2 and actually finding not one, but TWO zod runes. I remember getting so hyped over LOD's expanded crafting system, only to find out that most of it would never be available. It was a game made for a crowd, not an individual. I'd like to say I got my 0.0000465% enjoyment out of my share of a zod rune that went to some lucky fellow but for some reason I just never felt it.

Likewise, I don't really feel 0.0372% more satisfied when I spend a chrome trying for 4 or 5 off-colours just so I can PLAY a build. Every PoE character I have is buried with a tombstone that reads "Off-colours" - it's just not worth the hassle to try and beat the odds.

TL;DR: Perandus is fun, while base PoE has some self-defeating design. It's a game where you might have fun later but getting there requires a ridiculous commitment. Merging Perandus into standard will alienate Perandus lovers and anger PoE purists. They're too different.

Quite honestly these so called PoE purists you refer to are a very small minority. And in truth your post is an exaggeration as well. This league has been very well recieved as it massively improves game accessibility and fun. And that's simply a good thing. The league hasn't split anything up - it's brought a lot and riled up a few people who want to sell items and massively inflated prices. Ah well.
Even as a no-life "purist" you still have something to aim for. Perfect enchants, perfect corrupts, perfect rolls, off colors... and of course crafting the best rares is still expensive as fuck, especially if it's a master item. Let us filthy casuals have fun, you have fun, everyone has fun :)
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.
+1 for filthy casuals such as myself.

Awesome fun league, almost anyone who dedicates a good amount of time in the game can build their dream characters. 10/10.

Low life traders really dont give a fuck if you are having fun or not. They just want their random 5c uniques on Perandus league to be able to sell for 80c to 1.5ex.
The real hardcore PoE players and the elites sit in town and zoning in and out of their hideouts trading items. Noobs that don't know how to play PoE correctly, kill monsters for items. It's pure fact, it will never change.

Welcome to PoE.

If they had a choice between selling their shit for more and PoE get's cancelled in a year or two, they would pick death to PoE in a heart beat in exchange for their shit to sell for more.

It's very likely that with the new API improvements plus the premium stash tabs that flipping will become a lot more difficult.

You can now track things like how long the item has remained with each user for example. If someone sees an item that has been on the server for 5+ days and a low price, you'd know someone is trying to manipulate the market.

And of course, with more people trading it means that flipping is harder, because of more traders offering the same items.

There'll still be a place for career flippers: those guys who do it very strategically, but simple flipping likely won't work very well anymore.
I'm too casual to find anything yet haha.

But I never complained about drops before and certainly wont now. Only thing that concerns me is everything wont have value. Then its like "oh another shavs" ho hm

actually flipping got a lot easier as things instantly appear and notify user instantly based on set criteria. bots will be made if they are not already to scan for hot deals second they are listed in tab...like D3 bots were. Only difference is a person will have to manually trade. Harder for joe six pack though because all the "deals" will be gone seconds after appearing.
