Should I be a scammer?

Let's all be scammers!

But if we all scam, then currency just passes on in a circle...

I also have it kinda nice in that i have not only friends but guild mates that are VERY trustworthy to the point i/they can loan one another ANYTHING and play that way. Some things like Legacy items or some 6L item i haven't linked up yet or a mirrored weapon i can simply ask someone if i could try it out and its there.

There aren't many guilds out there like <PIG> though. There was a time I bounced around some of the larger guilds, <PIG> is very unique in that sense from my experience. That level of community is very rare in Wraeclast.

♥ u guys n gals. :)
Just a lowly standard player. May RNGesus be with you.

My opinion on the matter... I firmly believe in treat others the way you wish to be treated. In game and in Life. Period.. I dont act or am one person IRL and then act out my alter ego or do things i wish i had the guts to do to others IRL but i instead do it in a game where nothing can be done about it! Nor do i really believe you do one without the other but thats another discussion altogether...

At the same time i dont have any delusions about the fact there are others out there who do not feel the same way and will take advantage of you for profit in a heartbeat.... Thats why i dont ever screw people over but i dont trust people either. And honestly if i ever come to a point in POE where i feel like i must scam and rip people off to enjoy or get somewhere in the game... Ill fucking quit. And NEVER look back!

Im not gonna stoop to others level and be something im not nor believe in. Im just not gonna do it.
If someone rips me off however.. I kinda have no choice but to look at it as my fault. Thus why i dont trust people or give them the opportunity to scam me to begin with. I also try to limit my interactions with people outside my friends list and guild as well.. Thats probably the best advice i can give as well.. What times ive had attempts at scamming me (And ive had quite a few people try) have ALL been dealing with random people... i normally am paying attention and looking/expecting it to begin with so i typcally can catch it and stop it before it happens. That and i dont engage in risky practices like this whole selling/buying things people found on cardiro or whatever or cross league trading.

But you have to also understand i only have it like this because ive proved my trust to others and they know how i am. Same with them when it comes to using or borrowing items/currency from me as well... We all just play to have a good time and all feel like its not worth some stupid item/pixel to destroy that trust or good name we have with one another. But thats why i stress the whole treating others as you want to be treated because i really enjoy having a name people can trust and know if i ever need something its there by simply asking and holding my end of the deal up ALWAYS!

Im sure i could have ALOT more shit in this game if i fucked people over for currency and such but then what would i have besides that? NO friends or guild mates that trust me? Nahh.. Im good being poor with a good name instead. I honestly feel like i have more going for me and can have ALOT more fun this way anyway... Like i said.. if i cant afford it i have people who will let me see if its even worth saving for... playing like this has also saved me a SHIT TON of wasted currency on items i thought would be good for my builds but turned out to not be what i thought it would.\m/

and OP... if your not really a scumbag to begin with.. Then chances are your probably going to end up even more disappointed when you start trying to not only be something your not.. But try to do something that chances are you might not be good at doing anyway. What i mean by that is scamming people alot of times is pretty well thought out things people think up to deliberately try to scam and some are on the spot seeing an opportunity.. but if you are not that kinda person to begin with then chances are you wont be as good at seeing these openings or thinking of ways to get over on people.. or atleast not as good as someone who sits around and is always thinking of these things.
Just a thought..

wish there were more people like you , sadly we are a minority with this mentality.

IKR! I wish more people would tell everyone what good people they are and to live as high on their horses as they do. This world would be so amazing! lmao
Deliver pain exquisite
At this point I wish GGG make a decision:

Either A) define scamming as bannable, and drop the Chris Hammer.

Or B) say it's Wraeclast and being a bully is ok and encouraged, but also go full Lineage/Eve mode and let the bullied kick the crap out of the bullies: Full open pvp. PK at will. Hang in town's square and all that.
Alva: I'm sweating like a hog in heat
Shadow: That was fun
The item was never yours: it was Cadiro's. You made a verbal agreement regarding an item you did not possess and someone else took advantage of the fact that they only really needed you for the invite - not for the item itself.

This particularly opportunity for you went sour, but you have by no means lost any tangible items/goods: you gave up nothing for the encounter and did not possess the item in question in the first place.

Essentially, you granted someone else access to a valuable item without doing anything to safeguard your position in the deal. That wasn't a scam, it was a life lesson.
There once was a guy, a scammer.
Who lived in fear of the banhammer.
He took all your orbs,
And now look what he saw,
The forums a flutter with stammers.

Don't be naive and you wont get scammed dudes its pretty simple

Glad to see the forums are still a fucking cess pool, ban these fucks.
I'll bet you 25ex (not mine obviously) there are zero bans regarding just scamming.Maybe a few bans after people were investigated and found out to be RMTing too but happy to take the bet if you want.

Wow. I was expecting people to want scammers to get banned. From the first few responses, it looks like it is the victims fault. So far, the people that have spoken have just encouraged me to be a scammer to make my money back.

It is a persons responsibility to some point,a company should not be nannying people who should be majority adults. If your using an unsecure style of trading then it is your responsibility.I personally would not trust this form of trading. If I do do a style of trading that has some risk I am prepared to accept the consequences.I had a player use up all the portals on a high end high IIQ map and it was a 3rd player who was getting more angry with the other player than me even though it was my map.Reason I was not angry was because it was my choice and I learnt from it.
