filter, do you realize that video games are fiction and therefore have arbitrary rules as to how they work.
It is as logical to get the points as a reward from completing the Lab, than it would be as help someone gives you after the trials so you are prepared to go for the challenge, or as a price after killing Maly because the Lab was just an illusion exile, or as the effect of an item that gives you an asc point until a certain max (and the item has a random drop rate of course).

Which is why I suggested the uber typing test to replace the Lab since by your rules its just as good.
Plus at the end you will be able to type 900 words a minute or you will not get the points or enchants.

You guys are pretty good at telling people to quit the game and stuff, as you seem to think the developper want. But I'm pretty sure the developper are all the way on the opposite lol. They want as much players as possible, as proven by the xbox one launch.
And as you say, after 393 pages, and multiple support interventions, you can say something is not right and surely not widely accepted about this topic lol. Put the lab optional for real and all this would go away easy.

It's sad to see how many trolls came to this thread lately, there was a time when we discussed between lab "haters", "lovers" and players who do it just for the points, but don't enjoy it, in a pretty decent state of harmony.
One of the few discoveries of that journey was that we all agreed in more aspects than one would imagine.
I guess that's just a bug in the matrix in this forums.

Lab haters want ascendancy points to be acquired elsewhere as if doing the lab 4 times on a character was the end of the world and warranted such a huge change to lore and game design, effectively ignoring all the people who DO like the way the lab is and its rewards.
Then you get the hardcore lab haters who basically want it gone entirely.
Lab lovers are like "dude wtf chill, you only have to do it 4 times and you can pay for a carry if your character is that bad."
Lab haters are upset that not everybody thinks the way they do and choose to complain for 400 pages instead of voicing their concerns once with their arguments (like a grown man would do) and letting GGG handle the feedback.

Have you voiced your concerns in these threads more than once? Yes? Suppose you're not a grown man either.
I have no concerns when it comes to lab.
Whenever I do have one tho, I e-mail GGG and let them know what I think in a calm and collected manner without making up bullshit stats to back up my claims (IE.: OMG GGG EVERYONE HATES LAB, PLS REMOVE OR I QUIT!).
They then proceed to forward my feedback to the appropriate team and thank me for my continued support and we all move on.
How do I know if my feedback is actually sent to a team? I work as a lead QA in a triple A company and it's procedural. Teams receive relevant player feedback continuously.
