[2.6] life Mjolner done right by Rico - Berserker version

I played the previous 2.2 build a bit and switched over to the MoM/EB version and really enjoyed it. But damn, did Mjölner just get a huge buff in 2.3. My clear speed is through the roof and my tank is better than it was back in 2.2. Because I switched from EB/MoM I had to start using Blood Magic gems again, so I switched from my LS setup to a Cyclone setup as my pack clearer.

Still need to respec my Bandits, currently running 7 Endurance charges. Had a good corrupting spree recently which resulted in 2 Temp Chains Repentance gloves(One is up on poe.trade if anyone's interested.) and a solid +1 Endurance charge belt. Can't run the belt yet as I don't have the Strength for Mjölner without my current one.

Using Temporal Chain on Hit Repentance gloves I switched Enfeeble to Chaos golem but I'll probably switch to Lightning soon.

How come you decided to go Lightning Strike over Cyclone?

Wouldn't Cyclone be better? Especially since your LS isn't linked with GMP.

Oh man, this new Juggernaut-feature is so powerful!
Made a very similar build but changed some things: I dropped Iron Reflexes and the Grace-Aura and instead went for a second Curse, 2 more mana-reservation-nodes and using so Blasphemy with Elemental Weakness and Temporal Chains.

I didnt. I'm playing with both, depending on the mood. Cyclone is less hardware hungry and delivers punch in the middle of the pack. Its an economic option. LS is more fun. And to be honest LS desnt need GMP. With GMP its an overkill.

Yep. Tree looks good. I will be soon dropping Grace and Iron Reflexes aswell, replacing it with Haste or Anger. I'll test how it performs and post my opinion in the future. For now build is as is.

I went straight for the haste + flammability with blasphemy setup, with just one triple attack speed jewel the build can reach 6.2-6.5 molten shell aps, without the need of blood rage. Not bad, really.

Btw ricokgb, try to put in the mjolner a double discharge, with that setup i almost halved the time i need to fully clear atziri map compared to the lowlife build. And with double the hp recovery thanks to 8 endu charge discharge. It seems that molten strike can provide enough power charge to gain endurance for both discharges, given enough attack speed

Edit: At the end, this build doesn't generate that much dps, compared to other high end builds, if people overlook the survival that we have, we might also avoid the next nerf hammer :D

You can try. If discharge doesn't crit, then it can sustain the next one through romira. There would be a lack of power charges only if a crit occours, dunno if molten strike charge generation can keep up 3 discharges, but it could be definitely worth a try. Expecially if the build already has flammability/ele weakness to get rid of monster res and Repentance to have iron will.

I usually run with increased aoe tho, to clear big packs with just one explosion. I sort of miss the pack clearing ability of arc, but with double discharge and kingsguard i can facetank trio degen :D
Just tried this build. It's awesome. It's better than Thor'S Rainbownuke because you don't need expensive items (except for voll's devotion and mjölnir) to be really tanky and deal good damage. Have now 4,6k life (a bit low though), almost 9k armor and discharge is dealing almost 9k damage. Really nice build.
Been running this build as well, but it's far from complete. Here's what I have so far (and yes, I am trying out other variants in the parent RainbowNuke thread, too):

Please do note again none of this is complete and here is my passive tree for the time being and it will definitely undergo some changes:



For right now I am running RT and so I don't take any of the accuracy nodes...need to get my last two Ascendancy points and then I'll make a switch over. I am also testing out a hybrid Armour/Evasion style with this build and seeing how it fairs in terms of defense, which is what you see the heavy Armour shield for. I will definitely try out Saffel's Frame and see how that works as well, but the gear is definitely something that needs some working on as well as jewels.

Also, I have been working with manually casting Immortal Call, and so far it IS possible to have more than enough time on IC to bypass the cooldown timer it has, which means with practice you can have IC up pretty much anytime that you desire. This drastically cuts down the need for physical protection, bleed flask mods, and not having to worry about high damage from things like Academy boss tornadoes, and completely negates the physical aspects of things like Vaal slams, Dominus Touch of God, etc, etc. It obviously won't negate the elemental damage, but this also does help to negate one of Saffel's weaknesses with being unable to block attacks. With a 'permanent IC', you really don't need to block them. :P
