Remember Mistress of Sacrifice? That alone makes a life based necromancer almost immortal.
Also, the big deal with this belt is not making your zombies-spectres tankier, but improve your damage. Atziri's Promise and Vessel of Vinktar combined almost double your total damage, and that is only 2 flasks of 5. |

The more I think about it, the more I think that Pathfinder Summoner is the way to go with this Belt.
Like Vipermagi said, you can be sacrificing stats/efficiency to make yourself Tankier, well why not sacrifice efficiency to counteract the downside? You can gain either Bleed or Ailment removal as a Pathfinder AND increased effect of Flasks (which are basically doubling the damage and/or survivability of your Minions,) so I don't see it as a wasted Ascendancy at all. (Heck, you could even potentially use Null's Inclination since you're on the Ranger side, but I digress...) And like I said, you can always take the Belt off when you need to. Besides, ES Summoners didn't really have "panic" buttons to begin with, and this gains them some Regen to boot. PS. GGG mentioned that On-Kill Ascendancy buffs will work on Minions/Totems soon, so maybe then the Occultists ES regen could be useful, as well as the Curse utility. EA IGN: We_Have_Monk_at_Home

I'm more willing to go into Trickster CI + Zealoth Oath build. 250 ES, 2% ES regen from belt, 60% more ES and mana recovery (which also means regen) for killing things affected by your DoT - desecration says hello :) - oh, and some dodge/eva/as on top. Add it to consecrated ground flask and some life regen from tree and you can outregen the bleed.

" how?, i mean summoners have been using shock in the form of vaal lightning trap for ages. mistress of sacrifice limits you to bone offering which means 33% reduced attack speed as well (no flesh offering). dont get me wrong it would be a stupid dps boost provided you have the money to burn (which in standard i do =D, but obviously not perandus league T-T) and the belt looks to be a perandus league only item or at the veryleast gettable only via perandus boxes. plus if you do proper block bone offering , it means you are stuck using a shield....... which also means you are stuck with one 5l -6l. and the 6l will not be the optimal 6l for certain specters either (no sire of shards , no femures , no queens == sad life based panda summoner. 1 handed weapon summoner options are also quite shit as midnight is clearly a no deal for the builds this belt/ bone offering could work with (ci and high life). i shall not be looking forward to where the top tier summoner weapon item happens to be lifesprig or the stupid echo wand ... again.... that was stupid. and that shield will probably have to be a rathpith globe so you get the double conversion to get to 60/60 so money there too. so all in all i dont think it will be that much better than some of the things a double 5l/ double 6l summoner can do. " What I meant with that is that the bone offering alone is strong enough to counter the need of flasks for your character, as it gives a lot of survivability. You can just slap it on your 2 handed summoner, probably with a vaal discipline as a panic button. The extra life and rege is great for someone who is not supposed to get in the line of fire and the extra damage your zombies-spectres can do will lower the risk. I do agree that this belt is only really useful for rich people, but then almost all useful things in this game are too. |
