Elemental Overload Keystone - Wow
"No Critical Strike Multiplier - 40% More Elemental Damage if you've Critical Strike in the last 8 seconds"
Gotta say i really like GGG's thinking on this one putting it right beside the juicy spell crit nodes in the templar/witch area. I also like its proximity to elemental equilibrium. I think it will provide a good alternative to the crit meta. I was planning a build with about 7 casts per second (effectively 3.5 casts per second since spell echo double rolls when you crit). With a 6% base crit skill in 8 seconds I will crit about 1.68 times or once every 4.76 seconds. I path near the node so effectively this is a few skill points for 40% more damage. Should also work well with cast when damage taken/vaal skills which may crit as well. *applauds GGG with vigor* Last bumped on Mar 24, 2016, 1:20:19 PM

Finally a way to scale damage outside of multi.

If you're going for a crit build then this seems like a bad choice, as you can very easily get a multiplier of over 40% that would beat this straight away. It seems to me like this was designed to add a small damage boost to stuff that doesn't focus on crit, but has a tiny chance to anyway as most base things do.

This seems like it would work good with crit builds. Just don't grab crit multi nodes and get elemental ones instead. If you are projectiles can maybe use these instead of malgaro's http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Winds_of_Change. Don't get multi on amulet get spell damage damage instead. Idk seems like it will work well since hardly anyone uses crit multi gem anymore plus there isn't many crit multi nodes on the tree anyway
Btw it's more elemental damage not increased so its multiplicative WTB Map drops since 2013 Last edited by d2trust#2033 on Feb 25, 2016, 6:12:38 AM

It's the Kongor Keystone we've all been waiting for, right.
(seriously though, a Necromancer Witch could probably make that work, and Assassin is a boring but really obvious choice too) It's 40% More, but the base Crit Mult is 50% More. It gets worse though: Crit Mult actually applies to your Crit - this doesn't trigger until after you land a Crit. It only really works if you have stupid amounts of Cast Speed and a half-way reliable Crit, I guess. Last edited by Vipermagi#0984 on Feb 25, 2016, 6:21:04 AM

Will be nerfed, either before perandus league or after. This node is a no-brainer for any non-crit non-rt build.

It's interresting choice for ignite builds imo. Double dipping makes ingite tick deal almost twice the damage (1.96 to be specific). To compare, crit build can have crit multi totalling ~4x initial damage (can be higher depending on wealth). In that setup, the burn deals 'only' half the damage of crit equivallent, while it is applied more reliably. Compared to crit build, you need:
- replace inc crit damage support gem into chance to ignite - spec/gear for ele damage (obviously), which double dip on burn - spec/gear a little into crit. Some power charges? Supporting skills with crit chance + PCoC, so you keep the buff up? I wonder if this is going to be viable... Edit: It is :) http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Fire_Trap Not a signature. Just 30% crit chance with +100% multiplier (250% in total) is already dealing 145% damage. It beats the 40% from the node. So, the node is not that strong. Just helping some non-crit spell build (like RF caster) to enjoy the 40% more damage. For non-crit attack build, I think there will be a battle between RT and this except Kongor.
