♫ Cold Snap main skill? Ascendancy Options ♫

Lets talk about "Cold Snap" for Ascendancy.
We can use it with trap support and consuming power charges for additional traps.
So, i wonder if we can use cold snap main as a "nuke" with a Ascendancy tree. With traps/totems or without them.

First and simple tree from shadow for sure, Saboteur:

That one is good for nuke but it has no "charge" node. So cold snap on it may be only secondary trap skill for freeze and nuke imo. But its an option.

Second one is Inquisitor:

Righteous Providence + Inevitable Judgement + Augury of Penitence

That one can be a really really huge nuclear caster with cold snap without any single trap node. Because it has a crit+spell boost. Full penetrate with crit? So broken.

Next, Hierophant:

Conviction of Power + Divine Guidance + Sanctuary of Thought

Tank. Like a German Panzer. And "+%10 chance to gain a power charge on kill" is very very good for cold snap cooldown. So that one is not a nuke caster, but its so good for grinding.

Occultist:

CI Charge master. This one can beat the "max trap throw number at a second" record easily with a full spell crit build. + Tanky (can be 15-18k ES maybe)

Elementalist:

Like saboteur, this one is just an option. Note that "proliferation" effect is amazing for hard maps. You can freeze tons of mobs with a single trap cast (multitrap+).


So, the Inquisitor is my favourite one because of full penetrate and free critchance/multiplier.

I'm going juggernaut with volls devotion and romiras for immortal build :D even without volls devotion I am permanent freezing everything but bosses. Just much more squishy. Can't wait for my 8th endurance charge and go righteous fire for even more damage. I'll be immune to phys and should be immune to ele. Chaos damage only thing I'll have to build arouns

I dont think you may be completely immune but cool idea. Ill go with duelist too and gonna build a "Jack,the axe + Soul Taker" build which is running like meatgrinder.
