Are you a core player?

Do I count as a "core player"? Given that my job involves having a character online.
Please contact support@grindinggear.com if you need any help.
I'd go with no. Not by what Chris was talking about. You're a different classification, and by no means lessened by it.

Honorary Core maybe?

Consolation core?

Hard to say since your job requires it...I guess if you love your job then yeah you would be core lol.

Yeah, I agree. I don't think this account would count..

MORPG, Multiplayer Online [action] RPG for those worried that "massively" requires many people in the same instance vs on the same server (or global chat channels?), though I tend to accept it as the latter.

On-Topic: I am a "core" player; been here since Closed Beta ended, even have that old skill tree poster above my bed.. :P

Yeah I am. I also hate semantics with a passion. If using the tag 'mmo' for poe brings a bigger audience then I am all for it.

Definig Path of Exile or Diablo 3 as MMOs is just hilariously ignorant and stupid. And this comes from an mmo site ... pathetic.

Seriously enlighten us. If they aren't MMO, What are they?

Its an ARPG

You know I was expecting something I don't already know. I am expecting too much.

People are tricked by the word "Massively". It is a subjective term, it is a descriptive term. It is just a question where I draw the line. Multiplayer Online Game with Lots of people. You know where I am going with this...

"Core" player seems kind of subjective, I would say there are layers or levels of dedication.

I will always support PoE and try the new leagues, but I can only handled so many high lvl rips before I'm done for the season.
A massively multiplayer online game (MMOG or MMO) is an online game which is capable of supporting large numbers of players simultaneously in the same instance (or world).

Action role-playing games (abbreviated action RPG, action/RPG, or ARPG) form a loosely defined subgenre of role-playing video games that incorporate elements of action or action-adventure games, emphasizing real-time action where the player has direct control over characters, instead of turn-based or menu-based combat. These games often use combat systems similar to hack and slash or shooter games.

well I supouse I am... are you?

I suppose I am a core player...

Also, Diablo 3 is a trite of a game and is not even worthy of a mention.
