There is another component of magic find that you are ignoring - clear speed. Reducing clear speed so the magic finder can cull is stupid for the trash monsters that seem to be what this guy is talking about. Nobody is 2 shotting bosses. I used to do Dominus runs with people playing the old low life spectral throw crown of eyes builds and the culler still got cull. Against bosses, culling strike magic find works fine. Against trash it's a waste. Would people rather kill 1000 monsters with minimal magic find or 100 monsters with high magic find?

As much as I dislike MF, Culling needs to go and be baked into the game somehow. Why not if you just damage the monster period with the "culling gem" the monster applies your MF upon death.

A true Magic finders doesn't do too much DPS. strap up all the magic find low DPS gear and one or two in permanent leagues magic find gems. Culling strike is a awesome.
But I agree we do way way way too much DPS. I'd cut most things in half so it's not a contest to see if you can take out bosses before they can even fight back but dodge, flasking and strategy come into play over a long haul fight. 90% of my builds are super high DPS though since ofc it's most efficient to one shot everything.
