Solo or party?

Solo ofc. Partying in ARPG is broken by design.

You can't play with your friends. ARPG are about grinding, and your buddies aren't around (statistically speaking, ofc) most of the time, and you need that xp, that loot, you need to grind NOW.

So you play with randoms. Again, statistically speaking, who will you get grouped with in random party? Guy at your skill/gear/level, or someone with uber op char and FOTM skills that clears all map with single fart? Hint: the latter plays 24/7. Ofc you will get grouped with uber op guy. How do you like to feel completely irrelevant comapared to him and just collect loot? Sounds fun?

It's not just PoE. All aRPG I played had the same issues. They battled them by inflating group play rewards, and yet players still preferred single player (see strawpoll result). It's simply more fun.

In single player you:
- can play at your own pace (not chasing the op guy who rushed 2 screens away already to 1 shot everything)
- can use skills you want, rather than just FOTM ones, because only they matter when partying with uber players
- can actually see the screen
- can feel the impact you make on battlefield

Multiplier can be fun ofc. I like to casually play with friend, preferrably in 2-man's party. But on most occasions single player is better in this genre.
Not a signature.

Generally solo, BUT I do enjoy partying for one reason: Allows me to do other things while I play. I love grindy games like POE, insert MMO here, etc because it allows me to listen to podcasts or watch some light TV/streams while I play. This, over time, has become my favorite way to play games and I rarely get "lost" in a single player game anymore.
Thanks for the poll i enjoy the initiative. Some official's one would be greatly appreciated aswell specialy for important subject like this one :)
Hf :)
