It will sound well cliche but it really moved me. I like PoE a lot and I am constantly amazed by developers' awesomeness. I hope PoE gets to grow twice as much so we can look at the screenshots from today with the same feeling as we look at those now. Thanks Chris and the whole team for all your work and the countless hours of fun you provided us!

You guys came a long way; Game looked like a pile of doo doo :P then slowly evolved into paradise ( with some flaws obviously )

Those old sockets.....oh how I miss them. Though, I do like the current ones too.

Awesome to see how far this gem of a game has come. Also it's insane what just lighting does in a game, I used to make maps for Unreal Tournament and for like 90% of the time the map looks ugly, until you add light sources ...

I remembered when I first heard path of exile in year 2011 or 2012 on a gaming forum, I googled the name and found some videos and screenshots. I was like, meh, a game from last century. One day in Dec. 2012 while I was waiting for the beta test invite of Smite from my buddy, poe just came to my mind. So I bought a key and joined.
Man the game at that time was completely different from what I have found on google and youtube. It really has been improved a lot. |
