Talisman beating Torment as most boring league !

Cant believe im saying this after Torment and Warbands, but Talisman is so boring, wow. Its basicly standard all over again with a few auto-possessed mobs throwin in between and a giant ponzi scheme as the cake's icing.

When Chris said they made a GREEEAT League because for once they wouldnt need to divide workforce between SC and HC, i thought: Cool beans.
However, in my professional opinion, Talisman is the worst league ever and it takes the trophy off Torment.
I see you never played a truly boring league. The cake is still firmly in possession of Domination and Onslaught in their respective categories and that's where it will most likely stay.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

I like talisman.
It offers forced content(possessed mobs) and optional content(using stone circles) although I think encounter variety could be higher.

Nothing can top those two. They shall forever live in infamy. Although I do agree that I already got bored of Talisman which is sad because I was hoping it'd be enough to bring me back into the game but not yet it seems.

I think talisman could be incredibly fun, if the blasted things would drop as rares more often.
Rolling decent rare talismans is incredibly unlikely already, their rarity just adds to that "why bother" factor.

And rolling super awesome talismans is kind of the point this league, no? Why'd i wear a white/blue talisman.
Played it. Died. Didn't restart.

It's not all that much different from the regular leagues unless you happen to hit a jackpot on the talisman RNG. I weighed the idea of leveling up my masters again with no progress transferring over to Standard HC against that and decided to re-roll the character that died in Standard HC with revisions that I wanted to make rather than bother with the challenge league.

In short, the difference isn't all that interesting. It's not threatening. It's not challenging. It's just RNG to get potentially something that would invalidate a collection of items from the main game and shoehorn you into a slight variation to one of the main game's regular builds.

I give it a C-. It's passing. Barely.

Tempest had Act 4 going with it. Without that it was pretty bad. Also it felt like the league was completely dead and deserted after 2 weeks.

Talisman is interesting it brings a new concept. I think rampage was the worst league overall that GGG made. It was just standard with sometimes a kill boost that give you more movement speed.

Beyond was a very good league in my opinion. The most dangerous as well (unless you count pre nerfed Invasion).

I think players were most satisfied with Ambush / Invasion. Its a shame cartographer strongboxes now only have a 1/500 spawn rate or something ridiculously low.
Well gee, if you think Torment was boring no wonder you find Talisman boring. What about PoE do you actually find EXCITING?

IMO Talisman is pretty good. It doesn't quite match up to Ambush, Torment, or Anarchy, but it's far better than some of GGG's other leagues. The mechanic is fun and I really enjoy having a new boss fight. The items are really cool, too.

Of the leagues I've played, here's how I would rank them from best to worst:
Flashback League (SO MUCH LOOT, but not really a challenge league)
Ambush (Cartographer's boxes FTW)
Anarchy (First-league nostalgia)
Torment (Chasing ghosts is fun)
Talisman (Rigwald is fun)
Rampage (Getting lots of kills is okay, i guess)
Tempest (The effects were neat, I'm not too into hardcore)
Warbands (Basically standard league, but with some random pseudo-exiles that don't drop anything)
Domination (Boring as crap- quit and played something else)

I didn't create a character in the other leagues.
I quite like the idea behind talisman but the core problem is that the grind is so immense to get to a single Rigwald fight. Then you finally get another T3 talisman and it's a duplicate.

TL;DR: T1 fights become boring because they are too frequent. Rigwald, the main reason to play talisman over standard, is too far out of reach.
PoE needs better social features... and more cats!
