[2.6] TankyTwirl - PhysSpell CoC Cyclone

How much of an issue is reflect?

I am considering playing this in the new hc league as a starter build

I would prob be hybrid for atleast a week

I can certainly avoid reflect maps but what exactly happens if i cyclone into a reflect mob or mobs with like mediocre life and es? As far as I can tell as hybrid you would be relying on the leech and warlords to make sure you lived through it.

basically is this build hc viable at the start of a league or at all? im not familiar with this sort of build so best to ask.
Whatever army I have, I'll lead against them...
...until I've won or I'm dead.

You should be fine early on when your crit multi isn't that high, especially if you run WL mark and a LL gem. Just make sure you get vaal pact and don't do phys reflect maps.

Personally, I would prefer to level and do early maps as a Saboteur trapper then pay a bunch of regrets to respec into CoC trickster once you have some decent gear ready. I think a build like this really shines with high level gems and high ES pool.
@colwyn

I wrote a long posting about reflect just one page back, maybe look into that posting and if there are questions left feel free to ask again.

As Hybrid its the same thing as CI, you leech to your ES and just have your health + healthpot as "Oh Shit" Back up.

I would go CI before going into higher maps because Poison on some mobs can get really dangerous on some types of monsters.

If you are not used to the playstyle things can get dangerous in HC, the things that kill you are about the same as other Meleerange Builds, volatiles, Bearers etc.

If you are used to melee range you should be fine.

I personaly do not play HC but if you search the thread you will find some postings from other players that played it in HC.

It can reach lvl 100 in SC so its does not die often, bu i am very carefull about telling ppl that its ok in HC as i can´t really judge that.

(I only ever played save/cheap builds in HC like Explosive Arrow, Block incinerate, Tornadoshot)

many thanks , i did not check through all the pages , it may be worth just mentioning reflect in the first pots its a common question for obvious reasons

How do you rate this build compared to the classic CoC Discharger (voll's)?

I played a very similar build in PHC but with Pathfinder, it was very solid and with free poison on hit. I'm so torn between doing again a pathfinder, also if it is harder to level, or trying your trickster.
@colwyn
i will try to put something about reflect in the FAQ

@oRieLLi

I also did this build as Pathfinder you can find a Video about that on my youtube.

Overall i liked the Trickster better and it even felt better in Ubers, idk somehow the poison did not feel all that strong even if i skipped the LL Gem on it and Leeched only with Atziri Flasks and had Vulnerability on Hit Maligaros.

I think i should also put this in the FAQ, as it gets asked often. The overall DPS is about the same as a CoC Discharge with Volls Devotion at least according to Matrix Factors Discharge DPS Calculator and my own CoCulator. (That Calculation was for Discharge + Ice Nova, factoring in EE, did not do the Math for Discharge + BV as that is even harder to math)

This build gets higher ES because we can use a good chest instead of volls and also gets alot more Evasion.

You were using Life Leech in that video, is completely useless with Pathfinder version, one of atziri flask or vinktar are always up.

Shadow is so much better for levelling and also doing well with less equip, but sometimes it seems I'm carried by my buffed Diamond flask, I always crit without any investment xD
How do you suggest to get the required reduced mana reserved at the beginning of the league? Vertex is probably not going to be obtainable for a while since HC. Just drop HoI? grab Charisma for 4 points?
@oRieLLi

i told you in the very comment you replied too that i later did not use LL...
I used it when i made the video and later skipped it. i stil lthink that its REALLY dangerous to play that way and not really worth it, on atziri you kill yourself on the 1% reflect if you dont have the Flask up and its just not worth the hassel as you rarly ever need more damage.

@YomiHC

You can skip HoI or spec into Charisma. If you spec into charisma you don´t need the 4% reservation next to CI.

I just finished a Video of another Version i was testing:

Aegis CoC

The tree isn´t the same at all with all the blocknodes and the damage is alot lower.

This Version can´t do Ubers but should be pretty much unkillable during normal mapping even when you get stuck on a Pebble on the ground in Village ruin ;)
