[2.6] Milky's Righteous Fire Totems [cheap, SC/HC, Shaper, UberAtziri]

thx i will try to keep it that way, but i am moving in a new appartment at the 1.3. so i have little time to update the next month.

You are most likely correct, i think the spreadsheet is wrong and the next radius gain is with lvl 21 and not lvl 20 if lvl 1 gem has no +1 radius attached. Wanted to change that but didn't care that much about it before everything is released.

I will start with updates on the current skilltree (dont think it will change much in that area for 2.6), gemsetups etc in my sparetime, but i wont have much time to play for myCharacter page etc ;)

Would you go berserker or chieftain as a starter in hardcore? I'm concerned about the increased damage taken.... but that increase in dps looks so nice
Chieftain prevents oneshots better than berserker and genrtates endurance charges automatically (for the lazy ones).
For hardcore definetly Chieftain

up to t15 you dont even have to think about dps oncreases (besides totem life jewels) and then for guardians it's 50/50 which class has the edge.

phoenix is way easier with fire immune totems (chief).

Mino doesnt move that much and armoured totems can survive rocks (chief)

hydra moves frequently and the balls can be instantly healed back via endirong cry. (berserk)

chimera moves very often, duration and survivability of totems don't matter. (berserk)

so even with more theoretical dps, sometimes you just cant keep it up with dying totems (chieftain totems are way more durable). other times totem survivability doesnt matter if the enemy moves much

for a fresh league start when exactly is the best level to transition to RF totem? thing is that the RF radius increases as the gem levels so it might be better to do it later than usual

it will start with a bigger radius than it is now.

Personally i would start using it with lvl 38 (aoe gem) until then (fresh league start) firestorm totems.

totem resis/ele focus (with purity) + spell totem + rf + aoe is a decent 4link for the start and deals damage like it would in the endgame relative to the mob hp^^

Update 28.02.17

Updated Skillgems, Gear, a new section, removed the dmg spreadsheet (will add something else later).

Stuff to do next: Skilltree section, adding path of building instead of dmg spreadsheet

Changes to the old 2.5 Skilltree and why

http://imgur.com/a/uJW29

Here you can compare both visually.

- removed scion jewel
- removed Skittering Runes cluster
- removed scion and witch aoe nodes and the pathings
+ skilling down to ironwood (next to bloodmagic for tukohamas fortress)
+ added two different jewels instead
+ templar jewel socket now grants 24% totem life with spire of stone jewel
+ +1 endurance charge aviable and more totem life

Why the change of mind?

I played around with path of building and noticed that guardians/shaper have -80% less curse effectiveness. The damage benefit of Ironwood is bigger and the build is less reliable on curses (mapmods).

Tukohamas fortess is reasonable now since we can easily specc 35% life in bloodmagic if we use it!

The change to aoe in 2.6 makes aoe stacking worse. I decided against scion/witch aoe nodes since the benefit will be too low for the investment. Also the base aoe of RF will be increased a lot, resulting in bigger aoe than 2.5 even with fewer aoe nodes!

http://poecraft.com/legacy/aoenerf This visualizes greatly how much aoe is useful etc.

With my new tree (only 2 nodes of templar radius) i reach a radius of 31

With my new tree (only templar radius) + dying sun i reach a radius of 34

the old tree (all aoe in the tree) with dying sun + carcass had a radius of 33

the old tree with the same stuff has now a radius of 38... for 4 radius (11%) its not worth the investment for me. Without carcass its 37 radius.

I think the templar aoe + aoe gem is the sweetspot with the optional dying sun flask (which will get cheaper for sure)

Whats also great about the new rf radius: concentrated effect on rf still has an acceptable radius for bossfights, way bigger than before

Updated the whole Guide for 2.6

patchnodes, skilltreechanged and new/updated uniques might change some stuff, but the biggest step is done!

- removed dps spreadsheet.

- added path of building link in a new 'useful links' section which has a dps calculator included and lets you import your character.

- removed magicfind section. No space left and mf is basically dead anyway.

- changed items in the gear section. Carcass dropped in favour and tukohama shield is in now. Also some other stuff

- updated the skilltree section. skilltrees will break in 2.6 due to their changes, but i got a picture in there.

- added a tukohama shield version which is reflected in several sections.
tldr: expensive lategame item, grants more power and QoL, no more traps for EE

- updated gem section, added scorching ray in the links and a tukohama gemsetup

- changes to the skilltree were made due to the new aoe scaling for rf and blasphemy curses. This now allows a easy transition into tukohamas shield

Kaom's Roots are a nice option now, if you can handle resists and don't mind shield charging everywhere.

The OK AOE on conc effect is a big help, might actually be able to use on non static bosses.
Could also use for general mapping on trickier content.
I'm still hoping for another rebalanced unique to offer us something fun too.
