I wouldn't celebrate. Rough times ahead, a lot of bad feelings from remainers and the rest of Europe and so on. At least a part of the voters probably didn't understand the consequences of Brexit, so some of them may even be regretting the whole thing (I know there are good arguments for Brexit, but the Leave campaign was a shit show of misinformation).

HAHAHAHA. Now I feel bad...

The whole remain campaign was based on FUD, Cameron said WWIII could happen lol. The truth is nobody actually knows what the consequences will be, it's an unprecedented situation. The UK could come out of this stronger or weaker than before, it depends on how they play it.
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

It doesn't depend on them anymore. It depends on the EU, North Ireland and Scotland. And the EU is stronger than UK for sure (at least economically), and having opted for Leave, UK will not be negotiating from strength, and it probably end with a worse deal than the one they ditched (they were the snowflakes from Europe actually, :P, I don't understand why they would want the same deal than Switzerland or Norway when they had a better deal). They have already lost because the finance industry will be moving from London no matter what happens...it's a big deal.

Let's hope EU doesn't feel that vengeful.

I don´t think so.

But the EU wants them out as fast as possible (probably 2 years), so the citizens of other EU-countries with separatist movements take notice of the consequences, also to reform the EU. On the other hand there might be a new referendum and the UK could play a major role in reforming the EU instead of leaving(http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/brexit-petition-for-second-eu-referendum-so-popular-the-government-sites-crashing-a7099996.html).

No one here needs less stability and less global influence in a dangerous world, that would happen with a bunch of nationalist states...

Oh you globalist shill.

...

Nah, I don't think there will be a new referendum. The people have spoken, even if a lot don't like it. It's probably a pyrrhic victory if people still want to travel freely and access the single market (that means UK surrenders at the end), but if they can live with the isolation, they may achieve their objectives (even if the UK is weakened economically and split in the process).

We'll see how it goes. Nationalists have become fashionable again (the whole WW2 made them irrelevant for many decades for a good reason). It may be a good or a bad thing, but given what politicians are behind that kind of movement, probably for the worse. The EU made their own grave lately, so...meh. I wonder why it didn't happen with the whole Greece thing but only now...

Change is painful.

Even if you ignore the fact Britain threw EU into a crisis. EU has a vested interest in making Brexit painful in order to discourage other countries from leaving.

PS: They aren't gonna save them a seat at the dining table.

Sounds like a Mafia protection racket. Shouldn't a strong economy be less about the stick and more about better and better carrots? Although I guess post-addiction withdrawals can be painful.
When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted.

On other hand, it will be painful by itself so the EU doesn't have to do anything (you know, Scotland and the finance sector jumping ship, and if UK doesn't want to access the single market they'll eat tariffs making things more expensive). I may be wrong, though.

That is the wrong line of thinking. If Britain is Out of EU, they aren't suppose to get any carrots.

If they are the mafia, people aren't suppose to leave. They had to choose between staying in the clan or being murdered because they knew too much. Unless I am mistaken.
