5 Link and 6 Link question.

you can craft a 5L with one of the Masters for 150 fusings which is a little over the average of what it would take to craft one using the fusings on the item however it could take a ton more but thats just an average. a 6L crafted takes 1500 fusings if I remember right while the average for crafting one yourself not through a master is supposed to be around that but there are stories of people spending 3K fusings and not getting a 6L


you can go entirely through the game with nothing better than a 4L which is what things are supposedly balanced around. 5L is nice but not nessesary and 6L is pure luxury

I want to say I Vaal Orbed this when my character was lvl 50ish. It was a 5 socket, 4-link before the orb. IIRC, I was really going for better colors and had no chromatics laying around at the time. Sometimes you can just get lucky, although I actually lost a green socket in the bargain, so... meh.
