I dont understand this as well, its insane as this is golabal less damage mod, having 100% more damage its not even comperable to 0 resistance its broken as hell.
In PvP it's basically saying "your critical strikes deal (at least) quadruple the normal damage" which is indeed completely bonkers.

In PvE, um, ignoring elemental resistance is definitely part benefit, part drawback. With Elemental Weakness, related curses, and penetration gems, builds in the current meta often reduce enemies to negative resistances, so ignoring that can actually be a damage nerf. So it feels more like this Resolute Technique type of thing to me, where you give up on the potential of negative resistances for the ability to completely ignore penetration mechanics in your build. It's strong but it doesn't feel gamebreaking OP to me.

It might ironically be the case that the noncritical half of the keystone is more powerful in PvE than the critical half.

Well, it opens up significant gear/passive flexibility.
- you won't need penetration passives or EQ (and not requiring EQ really opens up weapon/jewelry and skill selection for coc, as well as being more coop friendly)
- you won't need a xxxx penetration gem
- you won't need a unique penetration affix (i.e. agnerod staves)
- you won't need + 1 max curse in the passive tree and/or multiple + curse items (you can stick with one curse instead, like enfeeble or warlords/poachers if you want sustain or assassin's mark, and your dps isn't significantly impacted in curse immune maps or against curse immune monsters or in coop where people are overriding your curses).

So yeah, while you lose the benefit of negative resist you direct the foregone opportunity cost required to get negative resist, which is significant, to get more ehp or damage.

I'd rank it as pretty damn strong in PVE, provided you correctly manage your ehp/damage ratios to not get 1 shot from reflect with vaal pact (or use totems, assuming it works when totems you summon crit - I don't see why it shouldn't).

It's absolutely broken in pvp though.
Never underestimate what the mod community can do for PoE if you sell an offline client.
@Vhlad: I did say it was strong for PvE; specifically, Resolute Technique strong. And Resolute Technique is not what I'd call an unpopular choice. It's just not this heinously OP thing to cry about -- just like Resolute Technique isn't this heinously OP thing to cry about. You cut your maximum potential (in the Inquisitor's case, in -res stacking), in order to save a lot of resources on investment. It's actually quite well-balanced because it requires a significant investment into critical strike chance in order to actually pay off, so it's not like those builds won't need to invest in damage.

Inevitable Judgement is one of the most exciting Ascendancy keystone passives of the one's showcased thus far imo.

Sure Curses + Pen taking things into negative resists is crazy strong - but there are plenty of Bosses, Rares, and map mods that say Curse Immune - it's still early days but there's no immunity to Inevitable Judgement... only mitigation effects to critical damage dealt like Enfeeble or inherent reduced damage to critical strikes. Also curses have 60% reduced effect on Map Bosses (source: http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Curse) meaning Inevitable Judgement will trump it vs the important encounters. Cursing is also pretty tedious when solo playing... and investing heavily in curses can be bad for solo players when you do come across heavy curse immune enemies.

Taking Inevitable Judgement allows you to run defensive curses you might not otherwise run. Just my thoughts on it... I think it is one BOSS Ascendancy passive - can't wait to try it out.

Yeah this passive definitely not OP. Consider atziri who has 40 allres and 60 curseres.

1) Passive + 70% CC = 0.6*0.3 + 0.7 = 0.88 multiplier.

2) Elemental equilibrium proc'd 80% of the time = 0.35*0.2+1.1*0.8 = 0.95 multiplier.

Add in curses and the EE variant is just better.

Useful for builds that don't use EE though.

this is the biggest damage increase EVER IN THIS GAME against atziri for example, CoC is already the highest damage in the game and it will do.... 4 times more if atziri has 75%, 5 TIMES MORE if she has 80% etc.

HIGHEST DPS BUILD IN THE GAME GETTING 5 TIMES MORE DAMAGE do u get it?

take a look how ggg balance Juggernaut and how balance Inquisitor... i dont think anyone from ggg know what balance mean, or they just want ruin and laugh on all melee and all non crit builds that they stop tried to hide it anymore.
