Messed up big sale ... what's your biggest trade mistake?
" I'm not familiar with Standard rates but that doesn't seam too far off the mark. There are variations due to flippers but I don't think you lost too much. You have to be realistic about these things.

Yesterday the ratio for exalts to chaos was roughly 1:65. I basically lost 26ish chaos in the deal. Not a huge loss I suppose, but I still immediately regretted my impatience.

1:65 in Standard?
wow. It was around 1:30 when I last played there (which was admittedly a long time ago) You have to be realistic about these things.

" Ya I thought it spread from California lol... It's not always bad though. Only if used in a condescending way-- Such as described by OP :) |

Well I've sold items several times for 1 chaos, that I later saw my items being sold for 2 ex. No idea if they were ever sold at that price, but I guess I messed up pricing my items a bit. :P
By the way, bro is just one of the many names guys call each other, just like dude, bud, man, homie. It doesn't have any negative connotation normally, just a way to refer to another guy. The only context I've seen bro used in a way that isn't condescending is "hey bro!" Even then it's fucking obnoxious and makes me uncomfortable. I don't trust or like people who act like they're everyone's bestest buddy.

My biggest trade mistake? Attempting to trade.
Very often, I regret even trying to trade (whether it's attempting to sell stuff and then getting ridiculously low offers, attempting to exchange currencies and then having to either wait for ages or make offers very largely in my disfavor, or even trying to negociate an item and then being treated like the worst asshole when I'm simply not well informed). Sure, I may have made a misstep on item/currency pricings, but to me, the main mistake is usually even trying to trade. I am actually starting to wonder whether I shouldn't just negociate with someone to do all my trades for me, giving that person his/her share of the trade. As for the "bro" thing, I don't use that word, but often say "Thanks mate.". There's no disrespect meant in those words, just "thank you". I also occasionnally use the word "dude". Finally, I do say "too late" to some people, but that's usually when these players don't answer to a whisper and then ages later contact me after I've bought another item corresponding to what I needed. |

I think people using the word 'bro' should receive infraction points.
Three 'bro's and you're out. |
