where are Vaal Corrupted areas?

If you really need the gem, I agree that buying it is faster. But Vaal areas are fun and can have nice loot, so:
Another great place is Mud Flats. You can farm for Vaal areas just by running up and down the coast. Two types can spawn there: Sunken Shingle, which has a small pier leading away from the beach and the Strange Sinkhole which typically appears between the coastline and the entrance to the Submerged Passage. The Archives are also great since it's such a small zone. The one to appear there is the Restricted Gallery. This will become interesting later if you want the other type of items from Vaal areas - fragments - since the rarest, Sacrifice at Midnight, only drops in lvl 60+ areas. It's also worth noting that Vaal areas don't spawn anymore in areas before towns (e.g. City of Sarn) - they were too easy to farm :-D Happy hunting :-) Exit, pursued by a Plummeting Ursa.
