Since poe.trade is 3rd party, GGG has no control over abuse that happens on the site.
This is PoE people will abuse anything and everything they can find to maximize their own profit.
PoE has a free market where scamming and ripping people off are not illegal.

Welcome To Path of Exile.
The real hardcore PoE players and the elites sit in town and zoning in and out of their hideouts trading items. Noobs that don't know how to play PoE correctly, kill monsters for items. It's pure fact, it will never change.

Welcome to PoE.
Player shops where the items for sale actually exist and have to be sold for the price listed in the shop.No one who is a genuine seller could object to this. And everything to make that happen is already in the game.

And if its a matter of server space (although all items are already in stashes anyway) make the shops a micro trans-action item

This really doesn't matter. No one said you have to sell the items at the price that you listed.

And PoE is f2p people can easily register dummy accounts if they want to do some shady shit without affecting their own reputation. The top 5 item price flippers could be the same guy/girl irl for all we know.

Get it? This is common for a free/ungoverned market with zero regulation whatsoever.

But it's working as intended according to GGG's ingame free market ideology.

Most flippers don't even list a price and ask you to give an offer. They don't even reply if they don't like your offer. They will sell but never at a fair price, don't expect to buy anything from them unless you gonna buy at double, triple or quadruple of the original price they got it for.

That's not necessarily unfair prices. A lot of players would be more than willing to get rid of some stuff quickly at half their theoretical rate if that meant a simple and quick trade rather than spending ages trying to sell it, or letting it rot in their tabs for ages.

Sure when people don't have any better trading options, sellers get half what they're suppose to, buyers would have to pay double. It isn't what you called fair, it is an necessary evil because people don't wanna waste their leisure time doing trading.

Well, those items are also listed on the forum, not only poe.trade
I am not flipping items because I lack the resources to do so. But generaly, there is nothing wrong with flipping. Buy low, sell high, that's how most things work these days and it's called trading.
If you have enough resources you can even manipulate the market.

Is it "flippers" fault if someone is offering something cheap?

Now, I get it that this is about people pricing items lower but not actually selling them, rather, trying to buy those items at that price and sell them for more later (market manipulation) but who is to guarantee that they will manage to buy those items before someone else does? It can also backfire in many ways. It's trading...

I can't wait until I can set [Buyout Only] as default for poe.trade
