People listing items and not selling them
|
Hey, I think we all agree that those are annoying as shit, listing items on poe.trade and not selling them. Let's make a compendium with those guys and maybe they will think twice before doing this.
EDIT: To clarify: I am talking about those people who list their item as the cheapest on poe.trade to drag the price down and then refuse to sell it for that price. EDIT2: Again: I don't care about people lowballing or selling their items expensive, my problem is strict the fact that I have to whisper multiple people and never know whether one will respond or not when I want to buy something. It's like going into a store and wanting to buy a bottle of water and the cashiers refuse to sell you the water. Now you have to go to the next store, where exactly the same happens. This is just plain annoying, you can't put a price tag on something and not sell it afterwards. It's about the time being wasted dealing with such bullshit rather than the price. And how will you manage that?
Naming and shaming is against the ToS. Your best bet is either to keep your item if you get lowballed for it or to move along to the "next best thing" when it comes to buying overpriced stuff. Aside from build enabling items (which sometimes can be harder to buy since almost all people follow the trend and overprice if they see it like that on indexers)I don't see a problem with "flippers" because you don't have to buy from them. Plenty of gear to go around and avoid annoying peeps. |

Flippers preform a service... they give people who want a fast sell for an item they don't care about a way of selling them without the hassle.
They are rewarded for this service by making a profit on the item. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this. |

I mean people who list their items as the cheapest on poe.trade and don't sell it them. It's frustrating writing 5 people who listed it as the cheapest before finally a guy responds.

"Word. When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted.

#notallflippers
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

The ones you are trying to fight aren't the flippers, it's the scammers.

Most flippers don't even list a price and ask you to give an offer. They don't even reply if they don't like your offer. They will sell but never at a fair price, don't expect to buy anything from them unless you gonna buy at double, triple or quadruple of the original price they got it for.

" That's not necessarily unfair prices. A lot of players would be more than willing to get rid of some stuff quickly at half their theoretical rate if that meant a simple and quick trade rather than spending ages trying to sell it, or letting it rot in their tabs for ages. |
