Any details on what "smaller" is?
Please do something about the ghost AI if you're going to nerf them. It's so hard to get them to actually touch mobs most of the time given where they spawn and how they move -- sometimes you just cannot get them off the wall or out of a corner. If they don't spawn near a rare after this hotfix you might as well just kill them immediately.

So screw the community because a few people found a way to take advantage of a new mechanic? How about balance the mechanic versus nerd the drops? Make it so the gloves can only affect xx number of mobs in a certain time period!
More nerfs.

How will POE2 and POE coexist?
The spirits AI was the one thing that I really hated in POE and this change makes it even worse.

There are many other issues that need to be addressed, not something that 1% of 1% are doing.
This is really an awful example of micromanaging your playerbase. Vacuum farming was a clever method that required large amounts of setup, specific gear and skill builds, then a team coordinated farm with multiple players, and then you had to pay 8 chaos per attempt, with a large risk of failing and dying unless built / played perfectly, and the payoff you get has to subtract that 8 chaos invested, and with all that considered, it wasn't all that much better compared to just normal farming methods.

You could farm ubers for the same kind of investment. Why nerf this?

Was in the middle of a map when the patch hit, double ghosted pack of about 300 mobs dropped like 2 rings. The maps I was rolling in was like 100 quant run with mortal fragments as well. the drop reduction is too strong, the investment in builds to even survive this is somwhere around investing a whole lvl 90 character and all the gear around surviving. to do at most 1k solo dps.

This one is a real head-scratcher for sure.

Is there a dev write up somewhere explaining the details behind the decision?
Fun police at it again. A bit kneejerk, imo.

Went from at least 1 inventory of rings, amulets, and belts (usually 1.5 to 2 if you wanted, but second portal was usually used for regal recipe to pay for Zana mod) to about 1/3rd of an inventory, TOPS.

535/113 magic find, using builds worth hundreds of exalts together. Massive coordination involved.

Pretty lame. At least it got me to play the game again for a few days.
