5x currency divination cards are complete waste of everyone's efforts
DivCards serve two purposes:
-some extra cash for GGG from supporters who designed them -some extra cash for GGG from stash tab sales due to more inventory clutter Well ok, just one purpose Shop closed until further notice. Check out my Dominus musical tribute instead:

" As far as I know, they can't be rare, because then they wouldn't be a Voll's Devotion anymore but a rare amulet (I think it is) with the art of Voll's. There was a thread about it in the beta and I think someone confirmed that it will always be the unique, albeit corrupted. Personally, I like most cards, one exception being "Three Faces in the Dark", which seems to be utterly pointless. While the card drops rather often, you need a bunch (5? More than three at least, and 3 would have been somewhat fitting, given the name) and get 1 Chaos. On the other hand, it's a free chaos every once in a while depending on which maps you play. The Lover is a great divination card, for example, and The Gemcutter likewise - and many more, that I either didn't find yet or can't remember. " I made a thread claiming this in the closed beta, asking if people felt that div cards were worth farming or impactful enough. Most people replying said yes to both. Up to this day i feel like The Lover is the best one. On high quantity maps i managed to get up to 3 sets, with an average of 2 sets per map. How i deal with most div cards though, is that i just keep them in a dark web-infested corner of my stash and if one set is close to completion, i farm for it. Otherwise i just ignore them. I'm a forum warrior, i was born to post, raised to defend my league. Now my post has been removed, chained and exiled by mods who Ban. Ban is my brother; i do not fear it. I see it in the eyes of men and beasts that i troll. It will take me to play the actual game when i am ready and i am not ready. Last edited by Pyrokar#6587 on Aug 25, 2015, 3:23:53 AM

I think Divination Cards are cool.
They've got a bit of value. You can gradually work towards an item. You can trade them. They're not for everyone. The guy who got 5 x ex from the Gambler cards will probably disagree with you! |

I agree that divination cards are lame and I don't farm any specifically. Just blood shards made worse, Chris Copperino needs to make it less useful, cuz "hardcore". Anticipation slowly dissipates...

OP, the games economy is based on RNG. This set of divination cards are working as intended.
The chance to Vaal +1% maximum resists on an amulet is less than 1/300.

I think this particular set is fun, it's like an extra drop chance when you fill up the set and you can hit the jackpot eventually.
I'm not farming one set in particular because I don't need it but they add a bit of excitement when a set is complete and/or when a rare one drops. |

I don't really think farming for them is a good idea. They're a neat addition to orchard/courtyard maps, but if you look specifically for those cards, chances are you're gonna end up with transmutes. If you do decide to farm them, don't get your expectations too high :)
My results so far: 5x transmute, 3x whetstone, 1x augment, 1x chisel, 2x chance, 1x scours, 1x chrome, 1x scrap I'm not a native English speaker. Should you spot a mistake in my post, feel free to point it out. Thanks!

I had chisel and fuses from the currency card, but also some crap orbs.
It's actually not the worst card. It drops fairly often in the lvl 75 orchard map and it's a nice additional mechanic to get some currency. | |
I pick Divination cards because I have them set in loot filter but I dont get excited, it is more of an automated reaction on something bright popping on the screen. I later put them into a single stash and once in a while I check for completed sets. I turn those sets and either vendor that crap or put those "new and exciting" cards into the stash and move on.
Divination cards are huge let-down for me and are nearly inconsequential for me. Some are ridiculously rare, some are ridiculously designed and all of them are just a teasers. There is few decent cards such as Humility, The Lover or The Gambler. Some people might farm divination cards giving expensive uniques but I cant drag myself to do it day in day out for such a misserable chance of the card dropping. I generally like cards that drop often enough you can see them every few rounds through a map or area. I also like the gambling part of of those cards. |
