Why do people complain about RNG when you're playing an ARPG?

why do people over-dose when taking prescription medicine?

the ARPG doctor told GGG to take one tablet of RNG twice a day - and they just grabbed the whole bottle.
and then they took an even bigger bottle, just to be sure.

If you look to any ARPG or MMO OR ANY KIND OF GAME... there is more than enough rng to go around.

not enough to build a house of cards, where each layer is made from RNG standing on top of RNG, and supporting even more RNG.

Path Of Exile is truly unique.

instead of saying rng rng rng rng, explain to me what the problem is.

RNG :)

or more precisely put, the way it's being used in this game.
awesome game. great mechanics. tons of fun.
one all-mighty RNG to rule them all.

holy shit, just speak english. what aspects are so overbearing with rng that it would make people this upset???
come on man, I'm not going to wall-of-text here.
it's a troll thread.

if you want a real explanation why I think RNG in Path Of Exile is too much, check out my previous posts, or just ask me in PM.

RNG is everywhere, its in real life. Its in league of legends, its in WoW, its in Diablo... You have to use what you find in order to buy other things you don't find, that's an attractive aspect of PoE, the bartering system.

People who complain about RNG are the exact same people who play softcore and think going 500k dps builds works and when they hit a brickwall because they've died over 20 times they complain about it to GGG...

Do i have to be more straight forward?

thank you, for making your intentions clear.
and now that we both understand you have no wish to hear my actual explanation and honest opinion - please refer to my thread here in General Discussion.
it's precisely about calling people who don't think the same way you do, [Removed by Support]

I actually do want to hear about your and others opinions but every time i mention "why rng hate?" i get spam responses to "rng rng rng, lolololol rng op" when in reality RNG isn't doesn't impact whether you live or die in poe.

ok then.

I don't "hate" RNG. I hate the way it's being used in this specific game.
and the way it's being used, is it is absolutely everywhere, and in-charge of everything.
it's absolutely true many games have RNG. they use it. it's a tool in the toolbox. a piece of the grand puzzle.
PoE worships it. in PoE, it's not a means to an end but part of the goal itself.
there are very few (if any) mechanics, where RNG doesn't reign supreme.
and usually more than one instance of it. stacked on top of the previous.
the other parts being, economy and other forms of player interaction, probably because GGG's financial model depends on such interaction.

I think that's enough of an into, without going into detail and making this a giant post, where I'll basically repeat everything I already said in countless posts.

I don't think people hate the randomness entirely. It's more that they hate how many different aspects of this game are pinned down or tied to rng. The only rng I hate is when I drop an exalt on a pretty decent item, while praying to rngesus, and get 5 thorns damage or something ridiculously useless. So I just save my exalts and do my best to bypass rng by trading for what I need rather than praying for what I need.
