Best Starting class??

I can't say much for Best Starting class
But best class out there is definitely the marauder
Use two handed axe and have a bunch of good armor
You now have the HIGHEST dps weapon and the GREATEST durability (arguably)
But I never go for the best class, I like challenges so I usually go for some hard class that has a big potential

High HP, high defense, shield block - Marauder

yeah i think from what i've read and what you guys have said i'll give marauder a go first but want to eventually try them all as they all look awesome and have alot of potential to be awesome at high levels some of the abilities for witches rock!

HC or default doesn't matter you should play the class you like the most and you'll be fine.

I've always had a soft spot for caster classes, specifically the ones that let you nuke everything from half a screen away and/or let you drown your enemies in a tide of skeletons and decaying bodies, so I'll probably end up rolling a witch first chance I get.

As for what is the BEST starting class, this game seems to have alot of malleability in that regard. I'd still say it boils down to whether you want to get up close, personal, and rip something's face off, melt it off from 50 yards with fire, or turn your poor victim's skull into a pincushion with a quiver full of arrows. Pick your preferred poison and roll with it!

To be honest, given this is a beta and all your characters will eventually be wiped, it would make sense to try all the classes and build combinations you can, so you can decide what you want to devote your REAL characters to when the game goes live.

Agreed. I'm in the process of doing that myself.
