Best Starting class??

Hey everyone Im wondering what people think is the best starting class for someone who is new to third person hack and slash dungeon crawlers such as PoE. Is it best to go with the Marauder class as it's the typical warrior type and seems easy enough or does it not really matter?

I'd say if you're going default it really doesn't matter much, but if you're going straight into hardcore league where survivability is more of a factor and considering you have no experience in hack and slash, marauder is probably your best bet as its more relatable, and most importantly more durable. I wouldn't say it's easier though as you'll have to manage a higher number of skills as opposed to spamming aoes and generally speaking you'll need more of a gameplan in my opinion, personally I consider casters easier to play overall but that might be just me. I would say sword and board Duelist but this would demand slighty more expertise on the passive skills tree on account of being a hybrid class.
Ultimately even being unexperienced in the genre it's not really deserving of much attention wich class to start with, just pick whichever seems more appealing to you and have fun :) |

I think it's just a matter of preference of gameplay, just choose the class with which you take pleasure and enjoy the beta to test different class.......

" i like the sound of just smashing enemies in the face with giant weapons but also maybe ranging down enemies..i love playing hunter in WoW so that might apply here too i'll just wait and see what grabs me i think..or give them all a go :) |

Personally I always prefer also hit in melee, and the archer.
