Daresso fight is quite hard, any hints?
" Could you share your ice crash build please? What weapon do you use? |

Did it with Ice Crash. Armor helps a lot for the fight, so do endurance charges. Even with 4 charges + granite + a ton of life leech (which is arguably terrible on a hybrid attack) I was taking more damage then I could leech so I had to do some hit and runs once potions went out. Definitely can't facetank unless you have amazing dps to take him down quickly (I'm at 15k ice crash and you don't burst anything down with that). Any physical only attack would make it easier with additional leech (only 20% of my damage is physical for leech). I'm debating switching to Cyclone for this reason.

"It helps a little but ideally you don't want to stand in the swords. I should've mentioned I am running a dual totem build so I have plenty of time to maneuver and avoid the blades and dash out of his ice clones. Melee is a different animal and I have never attempted a melee build. Sound the dread alarm, through the primal body! Sound the reveille, to be or not to be. Rise! Stay the grand finale! Stay the reading of our swan song and epilogue. One drive to stay alive! Elementary, muster every fiber. Mobilize! Stay alive!

Did it with Cyclone.
Used: Fortify, endurance charges, granite and jade flasks. Damage until he gets those copies around, then step back, let it slide, continue with the damage, rinse and repeat. |

My idiot-proof strat: Hold Right-click on him. Use potions as needed. Hope to not die before taking a portal.
In other words I don't understand this boss either, so I treat it as a gear-check. |

2H Axe Cycloning him while stacking Endurance Charges and avoiding his "heavy hits" with leap slam.
Nowadays I farm and facetank him :3 Trying to satisfy the whole PoE community is like telling a nymphomaniac to only have sex once in a week.
I think that's fairly accurate. :') |

I currently play a pure evade trapper, and I have to say Daresso (together with Dominus final form) is the most difficult boss for me to actively avoid damage.
Even with 100%+ move speed when I pop my extra move speed enchanted Quicksilver flask, I can hardly ever outrun his attack where he lunges at me with his sword sticking out and then combo's a bunch of sword slashes. If i happen to be running away from him in a straight line, I am fine. But when I just slightly change my trajectory when he initiates his lunge, I am toast. His first hit hits, stops me in my tracks and his combo afterwards completely annihilates me. Also his stupid balls of swords keep spawning exactly where I am headed, and they take away about 750HP when I pass through them because I have no time to avoid them, or I have to keep running in a straight line to avoid his lunge attack. Not quite relevant but. I play on softcore but still want a hardcore experience (can't play hardcore because of the lag with act 3/4 bosses). So my whole build is based on actively avoiding damage. Currently at act4 on Cruel with 1k life and exactly 1 Es. So far, Daresso (7deahts) and Dominus final form(5deaths) are the only bosses that really gave me trouble. Have yet to do Koam but his attacks are easy to avoid so am not worried. |

On ranged chars I've just kited him while avoiding the floating swords... Easy enough, as long as your HP and resists are at tolerable levels.
On melee chars I've just face-tanked him while avoiding the floating swords and dodging his ice clones. Again easy. His cleave doesnt hit for much if your Frost resist is capped and you have high enough armor. I think Kaom is a lot harder, more shit to dodge and he hits harder too. |

Now I do not know about normal Daresso, only the lvl 82 map one (I have a high hp high regen character, so I had time to look at the boss and think about what it does, died 3 times anyway to vuln+extra light dam + enrage).
At 75 50% HP it enrages for a time at 25% it enrages and stays enraged. It has a few must proceed like this moves aka. patterns iirc they went like Dash -> ice slahes Clones -> Dash -> Ice slash If you keep kiting it it'll keep dashing to you unless you can keep a big enough distance. I did not find a way to not take damage as melee so far. Sword come up randomly in the arena during fight with no rhyme or reason so gl trying to dodge those, even worse is that you can hardly spot them if the map has chilled/shock ground, and its hard to spot where the sword AoE ends. |
