Stygian revenants - GGWP

One of these douchebags just 1 shot my 15 exalt lvl 80, here's the kicker! had no + damage mods...thanks.

Yah they hit like a truck, always have black skeledogs with them and do some weird stuff that I still haven't figured out(detonate dead?). They definitely don't look like they should hit hard but finding how there's usually only 1-2 a pack kind makes sense that they take like 1/3 t0 60% of my life in one attack animation, or at least it seems like it. I always kill them so fast before even figuring out their patterns, they're that scary.

They hit for 500 in Merciles diff. Just make normal build with HP , not only tons of damage and 2k hp pool.

If you kill their corrupted minions, then they revive them, then you kill them again, the minion explodes a few seconds after its second death.

Uh in maps they can hit up to 3k per barrage...

There is not such a huge disparity between non map and map damage. Monsters increase in hp, not in damage, in maps. That's why there are tons of dmg mods and hp mod is so low % and not so common.

As for revenants, make sure light res is at 75 or more. Even just 60 res makes a huge difference. They dont hit that hard per spike, fortify will further reduce dmg if melee. You need to learn to position and move to take one hit from their volley, not 3 or 4 in a row. -max / extra dmg is another story.

At the time of posting this thread, and my post, revenants weren't nerfed.

GGG nerfed them literally for being over the top and doing mass extinction of exiles, they received a 30% damage decrease and projectiles were nerfed from 5 to 3 per barrage.

Also i do not know where do you get this idea monster damage doesn't scale up with map level.

You aint seen nothing til you run into a wandering ghost-buffed Rakango in a tiny enclosed room on a map with increased crit, attack speed, and extra monster projectiles.

I still have nightmares about that unspeakable incident.

they still hit that hard? i got hit by one pre-nerf that shit was unreal. 5.1k hp 13k arm,unyielding passive ...yadayadayada ... got hit by one barrage - dead

Its lightning damage they deal, was probably my fault i didnt have PoL up. LOL
