There is no way to do what you are asking for any non 2 handed builds, at least not with the current system.

" The video you linked is from over 2.5 years ago. Not only is his build "ineffective" in regards to todays standards but not possible at all. So many things have changed since then: no more flat aura mana cost (wrath, ect) bloodrage free with CI (LUL) flikerstrike as a main skill (can still do it, just forced into specific items) his double strike is not ideally supported and very limited to what it can do. The video is showcasing killing vaal, find something more relevant as an example because you aren't convincing me (not that I decide to "fix" your issue anyway) that this issue is solveable for certain builds. You list many things which have changed but in terms of allowing diverse skills the only relevant changes have been MSplash and the very recent LMP/GMP buffs.

I'm really liking Frenzy and Flame Surge. Maybe worth a try. They make GMP shot gun nerf less noticable. Cept COC ofc. hard to compete with 1 billion shotguned arctic breath and fireballs a second.
