Some folks prefer the Reddit format and less official piece of it. It is also a way to skirt certain rules that are here (here for good reason), name and shame being one of them.

I can understand going there as a business owner as well. Reddit may catch a lot of eyes that the forum won't with the added benefit that it's not official. Increased marketing and less assumptions of the official nature of posts.

It's a good idea. The official stuff is here, if not directly then part of a link to it...for instance gaming sites with The Awakening.

I have I know some of them are there now

but many are on probation or have just stopped posting here

People being on probation isn't a problem. They'll be back and hopefully modify whatever behavior caused it, else they'll go back on probation. The ones in tantrum mode will probably come back too. If not, then it falls more into good riddance territory.

The rules will be adjusted, I have no doubt. There are some getting probated for behavior that should have been a long time ago. Unfortunately being lax in the past bred a nasty place and also cultures certain habits. The culture will shift under new rules and things will normalize.

My hope is GGG hold their ground and wait release of Act 4. If things remain as they are well after that release, then they might want to consider a strong re look. I doubt it will be needed. Traffic from closed beta, and cultural norms shifting here will make for a more healthy place.

I don't love the decrease in traffic, but I do appreciate that my time here is not majority sifting through junk posts....but I the storm shall pass.
