What to do if you are muted by "bad" moderators

"
So you didn't read my thread then. Support confirmed that I was muted for typing three messages in a row during a conversation with someone in general chat.

Oh its good insight into proper code of conduct, but my comment is generalized. At no one in particular. The "masses", dare I say. >:D
GGG - Why you no?
So you don't even have any rules, but we have to follow the rules. Makes sense, now please excuse me while I equip my psychic hat of brain reading to decipher what those rules are.

Yes yes, what rules and where are they?

You remember that Term of Use you agreed to before you could post on the forum or even download the game? You might want to re read the Posting Policy section. It is at the bottom of this page if you failed to read what you were agreeing to the first time.
The Templar kills for Faith - The Shadow kills for Money - The Duelist kills for Fame -
The Marauder kills for Pride - The Ranger kills for Survival - The Scion kills for Attention (Emo much?) ...
and the witch...
She kills for Revenge ... tbc

wrong my friend. if you are playing a game and there is global chat. It is up to the INDIVIDUAL person to block/mute the person if he or she does not like what is being said. this is not RL this is a game. were we can say, act, do, yell, scream, rage, be a somebody else all together. and there is no consequences. why? BECAUSE this is not real life.

This is so stupid that I hope you are intentionally trolling.

There are Terms of Use.
They state how you should behave if you want to continue to use the privilege they granted you - to play the game.
You are _not_ allowed to yell, scream, rage and annoy fellow players.
There are consequences if you do, and they will be enforced by moderators.

And if you ask why: Because it's no matter of online or offline - your freedom ends where you cut into the freedom of others.

No.

You are not.

Mods can, and should, have absolute authority, within the limits of what their bosses tell them. This is a game made by private people. It belongs to them. You have no rights - except the right to quit playing.

There is no such thing as a mod "wrongly" muting someone, unless they do so in violation of a policy published by their boss. That's your only possible argument.

If you think you have some sort of 'right' to say what you want you need to do the following A) go find your mommy and B) tell her you need a spanking.

This is so stupid that I hope you are intentionally trolling? people sure like throwing that word around when somebody speaks there mind. you can take that "troll" slang and shove it up your ass.

What you are saying is the most ridiculous thing i have ever read. Do you really need a fucking moderator to manage people for you in global chat? And have them mute anyone at anytime for raging, yelling, screaming, annoying fellow players...? My god man. If a grown ass man can not handle something being said in a game he does not agree with he should not be in global chat. And to think that I have to mind my P's and q's and not express myself in order to play a simple ass game then well.......................

I can't even respond to that it is so insane.

You are allowed to speak your mind, and I am allowed to think that you are... let's call it simple-minded.

I give you a little question to think over: What is easier, if (rough estimate) 20000 player mute a single one, which annoys them, or if the staff simply mutes that single player to avoid that he annoys the rest of the players?

I'm most definitely able to 'handle' the spam and trolls and rage that exists in games and forums (I'm a forum mod at a bigger website myself), but I simply prefer to have a chat which is kind of civil and nice. And most people agree with me, hence the Terms of Use, to which you agreed, which state that you have to behave in a certain way.

To hopefully make an impact in your mind, let me rephrase your answer:
"Do you really need a fucking police man to manage people for you in real life? And have them arrested for murdering, stealing and hitting fellow players? My god man. If a grown ass man can not handle something being done to him in real life he should not be in it."

That's sounding horrible stupid, isn't it?

€: By the way, there are a lot of people who disagree with you? HELL THEY MUST ALL BE INSANE AND WRONG; WTF IS WRONG WITH THE WORLD CANT THEY SEE IM RIGHT LOL WTF I WANT TO SPAM LULULULULUL.

Maybe that's something you understand.

You can't respond because I'm right and you're wrong. "grown ass men" as your idiotic post to the previous person referred to, do not need to speak in a way that needs anyone to mute them.

Games are not a protected forum for you to act like an ass. They belong to the producer, and if the producer wants you to not do it.. you don't do it.

Period.

You have no rights in a game. you have no freedom of speech in a game. You don't need any. It belongs to someone else, and you play by their rules. Period. Or you quit or get banned.

That's right and proper. The only reason you want to do it in a game and demand to be allowed to is that if you did it in real life, you'd be dragged outside and get your face slammed into the concrete by someone.

your position is that of someone too cowardly to do so in real life.
So now I'm wondering, if swearing isn't allowed, then why isn't there a swear filter? It could have a toggle in the options to turn it on or off. This way if people don't like such words words they can turn the toggle on.

Spamming can be handled by an automatic temporary chat suppression / delay between peoples posts, as is done in Guild wars. Methods like these would not only improve the chat in the game for everyone, they would also make it a lot easier for the moderators.
