What to do if you are muted by "bad" moderators

I'll never get behind the "blindly support mods/admins/people in charge" mentality. OP basically sounded like "If you get muted it's not their fault so get over it."

Well its funny that I got an almost instantaneous reply from the dev that muted me for linking items into chat. Its not a time issue, its a fact that they are doing nothing about handing out mutes so freely.
I already asked in my thread that was locked, where are the rules regarding the in game chat with an explanation of what players can be muted or even banned over typing into the game chat? Where do the rules state 'if you type two messages in a row you will be muted for spam'? (b) Personal abuse, foul language, inappropriate subject matter, obscene, harassing, threatening, hateful, or discriminatory or defamatory remarks of any nature ... are not permitted. - PoE TOS. "Why is the gaming community so happy to accept people doing a bad job when they are in charge of a game? It's one thing when people say stuff like "GGG doesn't care if the game is good." It's another thing when someone complains about someone doing something they think is unfair. They should have that right. I have seen mods in chat acting rather obnoxious so it doesn't surprise me that some would mute people when they shouldn't. Why is that surprising? Saying there is a terrible mod doesn't mean you're saying all the mods/support/devs are bad and it doesn't mean you're saying PoE is bad. |

" first of all the question you should be asking is. Why is anyone being muted? No moderator/dev or support should be muting anyone in the game. no matter what. It should be up to the individual person to (block/mute) somebody if they do not like what they are reading. Not a moderator. GGG MUST take that power away from mods. EDIT: and that comment i made STFU and play was said out of boredom. In fact. I have no idea why i am even on these forums I don't even play the game. Weather or not people would *like* them to do things is another matter, but unless you have concrete proof that mods are damaging the game (and I do mean concrete proof) then they are unlikely to change the current arrangement. And if you as an individual do not like what he or she said. mute him. You need a MOD to cover your ears for you do ya? |

If I had the power to mute people I would instantly mute about half of the population. I feel dumber every minute I read the #chat, but sometimes someone mentions something new.
That said, (and being a forum mod myself), there will always be a vocal minority who think they have a "right of speech" in the forums and who are actually just annoying other people and are rightfully muted. I think this is also called "butthurt". Current league chars: Bladestorm Champion SSF
