Lockstep is amazing, I'm playing with a ping of 50-60 and it almost feels like a different game. Such precise control. Truly, Path of Exile 2.0, a well-deserved title.
I am not even talking about "big" rubberbanding events, now replaced by client freezes. I am talking about zillions of those very small, micro desynchs, like when you click on an item on the ground and can't pick it up because in reality it's 2 pixels to the left. Or when you click on a mob but can't reach it with your melee attack, because he's just out of range on the server and the client is out of synch. Those added up and created a very tedious, annoying experience for me, in the long run. I just realized it now, because of comparison. But. No. More.
