Thanks to the graphical update in Act 4, my Diablo 3 friends are switching over to POE

I am unsure why people are bragging that its the next Diablo 2, it is clear that its main goal is to be a kids game that is very casual. We still have people to this day claiming that David Brevick has created the true Diablo 2 successor.

Tell me what part of Marvel Heroes is Diablo 2? That game is a Marvel MMO, there is nothing Diablo 2 about it. Look how simple the builds are. There is nothing dark about it, the most played modes that people are forced to play if they want their drops is X Defense, Midtown madness and now age of ultron mode all of which are bright as hell.

Infact it is so bright that Gambit's fancy purple spell effects is washed out LOL. Has to be the absolute worst atmosphere I have ever seen in any game. lol For years people suggested to turn it into a dynamic weather system but Gazillion is more concerned about turning out all sorts of nonsense to sell like splinter boost potions and XP boost candy bars etc.

I'll be frank- I completely cannot understand switching to a different game because of graphics, let alone small graphical optimization. especially in a genre that is ARPG.

poe is supposed to look depressing, thats how we keep out all the kids like you.

I'm not sure people who value a game by graphics, would necessarily enjoy Path Of Exile.
it's not about graphics.
none of the really good ARPGs are.
few of the really good games I remember, were.
graphics are a bonus. gameplay quality, fun and innovation - are a must.

Some things might look a bit fugly in PoE but overall i prefere it over D3.
I like gloomy oldschool diablo style over the more warcrafty look in D3.

Still gameplay is what matters to me the most. Thats why i keep going back to PoE and not D3.

When one talks about graphics they talk about both Art and technical aspects of computer 3D imaging.
