god i hope not D3 is a Saturday morning cartoon. so glad im didnt do beta.

Only thing i liked in D3 was AH and thats gone

Yeah I was pretty upset when the Auction House was gone it made it convenient to sell your stuff and use the gold to buy better items that was near impossible to find in game.

Instead of the people go play something else, or read a god damn review before they bought the game they threw a tantrum like a bunch of babies over the RMAH.

Then when Blizzard removed the AH completely these same people who were complaining then abandoned D3 completely. It was then too late to bring back the AH.

One thing to note on the internet when something is a trend people start following it even if they are 100% clueless. Remember valve charging mods for Skyrim? and the community was in uproar? if you checked majority of the people who posted against it never even owned Skyrim or were just pirates who never paid a dime for the game.

The problem with D3 was not the Auction House the problem was with Jay Wilson and his idea to make decent drops near impossible to get so you would be forced to use the Ah. That was the real issue with D3, as for graphics I 100% prefer D3 graphics over anyother ARPG. Everybody has a unique taste you can't change that for nothing.

D3 isn't hardcore like POE. D3 is Casual and it was designed to be that way. There are pros of this for example POE is near impossible to play for any new player just trying out this genre. Most folks will never even play POE and thats the truth.

Well I found #3 witching hour in the whole server ..bout 5 crit mempos so I cant complain but i played a lot...over 100K elite kills before I quit.

Drops were fine IMO. Fine here too.

It just w/o trade you're a RNG victim so that was main reason I quit. Plus bored. Ths gae so much better and complex (as complex as ARPGs can be)

Would have been nice if they left AH but TBH I would have quit anyway. You cant play same game forever. Burn out sets in sooner or later.

Read a review? D3s RMAH arrived like a month after the reviews. On top of that D3 has some of the most missleading reviews ever. 8,9 in rating on metacritic by professional reviewers. Even the most hardcore Diablo fans have to admit its way too high for vanilla D3.

Completly agree that the Loot was a major problem why AH became so important. Still doesnt change the fact that RMAH was a greedy-cashgrabb from Blizzard.
But even if there where no RMAH and better item drop in vanilla, i still doubt i would have liked the AH.

Its just so conveniant, with so many players the odds where much much higher for you to get gear alot easier from trading.

Actually many modders for skyrim disliked it aswell. As a modder myself i think it was very flawed system. Because other modders tend to "borrow" content from others. Its just really hard to prevent people from making money on your content.

The 25% cut for the creator also feel unfair.

The biggest issue with me was the graphics in POE it just looked like a 2001 game and I would not even give it a second of my time. But today things are drastically different.

With my Nvidia Geforce GTX 760 Poe already blew Diablo 3 out of the water 2 years ago. I wonder what people smoke if they say PoE graphics come from 2001. Were you actually even around then? I was and it is a huge difference.

This game has better graphics? Scratches head.
Spoiler

How did you manage to get such a fugly screenshot of D3? It looks way better ingame.
The game is great. I play games for its gameplay and this one is top notch. Diablo 3 was a horrible game when it first came out but got better after a year of not playing much. I'm done with blizzard until they make a good game worth playing. But if you play for the graphics then more power to you.

Yeah he looked for the worst D3 picture. Also there is an option in D3 that makes the entire game fuzzy to smooth the aliasing jaggies and this screen shot is just like that.

This screen shot is misleading and probably has settings on low aswell. Very dishonest of some people because D3 graphics are waaaaaaay better than that especially for its age. The artwork in D3 is fantastic, animations are mind blowing. But thats cause it was backed by Activision Blizzard a holding company with unlimited funds. So yeah imagine if GGG had that kind of cash?

On the flip side of that coin - if they pick up something as ultra-casual as Marvel Heroes as their first arpg, which I suspect many did due to the license property, then the game is likely so casual and floaty that they will never want to play one again.

That being said, every single gamer I know has tried an ARPG at one time or another. It isnt some mysterious genre.

I had Quit D3 then started back when they released the expansion for it which was fantastic imo.
Reaper of souls totally changed D3 from what it was when first came out which is why I have thousands of hours in D3

^ thats my character. I am over 600 paragon levels lol play it every single day, its a fantastic game now and much better than first released.

But seeing the new POE today compared to years ago, GGG has a new customer now. POE looks much more like D3 today which is more to my taste. Only downside is POE builds are very hard to understand very overwhelming, and I do not have the time to go though everything and learn everything especially all the jargons. Its the biggest con to me in POE.

Maybe years ago when I was still a teenager and had all the time in the world I bet I would have been a pro in POE. Just like I played countless hours of Diablo 2.

PS nothing wrong with a more cartoony artwork of Diablo 3, League of Legends is the biggest played game on the planet.
